If I'm not mistaken, you guys are saying that a Lottery Pick is any pick done by a Lottery Team, which currently is the 14 teams that didn't make the playoffs, and thus the first 14 picks. However, a Lottery Pick is actually the first four picks only, which are chosen randomly by the lottery, while the rest of the picks are ordered by the previous year's placement. Therefore, there are 14 Lottery Teams, who are eligible to potentially receive a random Lottery Pick, but only 4 Lottery Picks (thus the top 4 picks) are actually available.
I don't even think Boston would do that first trade. No reason to go "all in" on someone; you're already a top contender, plus two of those guys, White and Timelord, are locked down for a few more years, I expect them to extend Grant Williams. You'll have that continuity again, they got a core that's been together a while now. Only thing they'd do is look for buyout candidates, don't expect a trade from them.
