People talk about Giannis against the Celtics last playoffs like he was struggling, but it's the rest of that Bucks team that wasn't shooting so Kenny was spot on about the help... Don't forget Giannis became the first player to record 200 points, 100 rebounds and 50 assists in a single NBA playoff series against the Celtics lmao their "wall" isn't working
I totally agree but unfortunately it’s something very common in sports where if your team didn’t win the game the perception is you played poorly. But anybody who actually watched that series knows that Giannis did everything you could have possibly asked him to do.
As a Celtics fan, the stats are always gonna be there when it comes to players like Giannis and I also agree that his team could’ve done more to help him but gotta reason with the idea that Giannis did have difficulty finding a rhythm against the Cs and as a result, I feel like the rest of the team found it harder to find a rhythm🤷🏽♂️ maybe it’s not as much as people gas it to be but them boys definitely didn’t make it easy for him
@@vladventura1095 for sure the C's made it difficult for him, they played great defense on him giannis is gonna play hard and put up numbers either way. the bucks didn't really make it easy for him, if they didn't shoot horrendous from 3 it could have been a different story. The celtics bench and role players outplaying the buck's was the biggest swing in the series imo. a rematch could go either way this year (health permitting obviously)

As a bucks fan I will reiterate this every time that I need to: The Bucks rest their players the last game of the season EVERY YEAR. It wasn't a matter of avoiding matchups and it was a matter of consistency and rest.
It was tho. They coulda just played that game and secured the higher seed but they didn’t feel the need for that, besides the year before KD was an inch away from sending them him without Kyrie or harden so I can believe them ducking that matchup.
My point is they knew the Celtics were gonna try to win and they still decided they’re okay not getting that 2 spot

@@eliyarrows2456 They played 3 games in 4 days in that stretch right at the end of the year and didn't rest anyone in the back to back game they played. By the time they got to the 3rd game they had to be careful with the starters so they weren't gassed to start the playoffs. Don't forget, the Celtics didn't play all their starters against Milwaukee in their last game of the year but the bucks did. They weren't concerned about seeding in that game. They didn't want the nets in the first rd either, despite the success they ended up having. The Bucks have been a 1-seed a couple of times and sacrificed too much energy in the regular season and got bounced early in the playoffs each time. Last year it was unfortunate luck having Middleton get hurt in the playoffs.
They prefer health over seeding for a reason. They won it all as a third seed.

I don't really think Scottie is similar to OG but he is a similar archetype to Pascal. Half of our roster are power forwards who would thrive with spacing but we only have 2.5 shooters, and they've all had sub par shooting years. Combine that with bad depth and a super over aggressive scheme on defense, we have like 4 guys playing for contracts... it's been a nasty year

Love this podcast, but y’all just disrespect the Warriors way too much. It’s like y’all aren’t actually watching them. P always acts like the warriors didn’t hit on their draft picks. Kuminga is an excellent perimeter defender and has recently improved a lot on offense. They still don’t have Wiggins and Curry. Only issues are with the road games. But we’ll see if that can change coming down the stretch.
