    Hey man thanks for being transparent and making these chill videos hopefully you dont change the format. I had a construction company and we did commercial deep service and plumbing. Did a couple big projects then couldnt get more clients so now I just work at a company doing plumbing rough ins for now. Canada seems shitty for getting volume of work. Wish I could transfer my journeymen to the usa lol. Thanks

    hell yeah, iv just registered my business in australia, getting insurances and what not sorted.... ducks in
    line if you will... and about to hit the ground running, im still working at a maintenance plumbing company but im going to do this on the side till i feel im ready to leave my secure employment behind, atm im making 130-140k aud working for my current boss, so not bad..
    i just love hearing your insight and realness

      I tried to do my company on the side for about two or three weeks and I found out pretty quick that I had to quit my job and do it full-time if I wanted to make it. It’s hard to be the guy if you can’t be the guy you know what I mean. If they can’t call you Monday through Friday during normal business hours, they’re gonna keep calling someone else. I had to be available in order to get to work. It’s risky but paid off.

    I would love to talk to you over the phone. I just started a plumbing business, we’ve been open for a month. And we haven’t gotten a call yet. I know stuff like this takes time. I am more than understanding on that. But would love to pick your brain on stuff. I’m from Kentucky, much love to you from here!

    Great video! Im just starting my own residential plumbing business. Any advice on how to get leads? Or best lead services youve used?

    • @brasshouse9822
      @brasshouse9822  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I didn’t really like any of them. I used Yelp when I first started and it got me a ton of leads for like $480/month. The first month I was open almost all of my leads came from Yelp but I quickly went back to commercial.

    Can you make a video of plumbing business like Jared Williams ? Like do you think he adds value with anything he says? I’m curious because idk if he’s bullshitting or not

    • @brasshouse9822
      @brasshouse9822  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I don’t think Jared Williams has any value. I think he’s just looking for people to take advantage of. He’s not looking for discerning customers. He’s looking for people that don’t shop around and I’ll take the first price they’re given and spend a lot of money to make sure they call him, and those people actually knew what he was doing. They would be infuriated. I don’t like doing business like he does it. I don’t like having to manipulate people into spending more money and my whole business model be about squeezing every dollar out of every call. It’s sustainable if you’re wanting to spend about $100-$200 in marketing for every lead you get. I’d rather have a sustainable business where I don’t need to drop that money to get the work.

    How much do you pay in taxes on your 500K a year?

    • @brasshouse9822
      @brasshouse9822  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I don’t pay a crazy amount. My taxable income is probably only like 120 K a year potentially less.

    • @cryptic8043
      @cryptic8043 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@brasshouse9822 So, a rough general idea would leave you with 373,000 K. According to a quick google search, a higher middle class lifestyle costs around, $144,568 K. So, you are left around 228,432 K to invest and play around in a year?

    This isn't boring, this is incredible.
    I was the one who pointed out your company health, citing your numbers as given in videos. For you to have turned that around in such short timeframe is awesome! Not going to lie, got worried hearing you call "reinvestment", "turning it around and using profits on the offensive ", though whoever you consulted between now and when you gave those stats has fixed a lot.
    For your hatred of Jered, why? If you adapted your business as it stands right now, with the added expense and shorter duration of residential service work, you'd likely end up with a near match of his business... he aims for 30% net profit with the knowledge it's going to drop to 25-20 due to inefficiencies etc, your month as outlined above was at 25% net profit.. you dont have a problem with Jered, you have a problem with residential service work.

    • @AsviniKumar4747
      @AsviniKumar4747 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The more fascinating question is why do you guys defend Jered to death? It's the typical "don't knock the hustle" mentality on steroids.. If this is your craft and service to the world you should talk honestly about what you find to be shady practices... the American craftsman needs to have a sense of morality not just business acumen.

    • @Mr-Yan.
      @Mr-Yan. หลายเดือนก่อน

      @AsviniKumar4747 .. your eyes painted on? It costs a lot more to deliver 400 1hr jobs than it does 1 400hr job, loads more inefficiencies... these are completely different businesses, the fact that they're both plumbing is the only similarity.
      Too many people are happy to see residential service businesses go backwards and work for wages, and get offended when they..... see the same net profits as the brassman?
