Im thinking on buy the Osmo Action 4 for my helmet/chest cam, also I have my insta360x3 for the front of my bike. Would you recommend the Osmo Action 4 over the Insta360 Ace Pro?
Seeing this review i am so happy i got the Action 4, i just love it.Thank you insta 360 for sponsoring this video. Thank you sir, as always you are doing a great job !
Nice comparison. One thing you didn't really go into was ease of set-up / use, especially with the audio set-up. I think GoPro is the clear loser in that category, having to use that stupid media mod to get a standard 3.5mm audio jack. Did you see any advantages to the Action 4 over the Ace Pro in audio for moto vlogging?
its quite hard to choose from three great cameras, and decide whats best to use, but as you've reviewed them, what do you recommend the most for day and night video while riding.
At 3:30, for night footage comparison, did you also turn on the low-light enhancement mode on Action 4? It's a similar function as Ace Pro's. It will largely improve the low-light video quality and decrease the noise.
Amazing comparison, that's what I was looking for since I use Ace Pro exclusively for motorcycling. I sold my Action 4 after testing the Ace Pro for a few days

Hoping you can help me out, I'm a crinkle old timer who's just starting an interest in streaming but struggling with a few basics 1. Do you record the whole journey or switch the camera on and off. 2. How do you attach the mic to your helmet. Your help would be much appreciated. Again thanks. Stu
If I were to be night shooting the Ace would be my choice but daytime I think the Osmo was better all around. Definitely not buying a GoPro again. Nice that the company is listening to actual users and responding with service and add ons to please many. If only I could afford the novelty aspect 😂
Hello, I have been following all your videos for years. I have bought an ACE PRO. What do you think is the best configuration for recording motovlogs on sunny days? Thank you.
Neither of the cameras are inadequate for sticking on a bike and filming your ride. One may be very slightly better in the dark than the others but how many of us frequently ride in the dark? I did laugh when you said one was better than the other in the dark because it has a maximum aperture of f2.6 whereas the other only had f2.8. Coming from a photography/video background as you do, do you really think that makes a massive difference?

I agree that the quick release system is very handy. There's no need to screw and unscrew the accessories, which saves so much time! The night comparison on the Ace Pro looks amazing. It captures so many details, and it's hard to believe that an action camera can perform this well in low-light environments nowadays. Thanks for making another great video, buddy!
Some thoughts. 1: even watching on a phone the difference is stark, Ace Pro has by far the best looking results, esp at night. 2: GoPro 12 is the worst in every possible way. 3: in the first section handheld vlogging, surprisingly the Osmo sounds far better than the others. 4: Ace pro pricing is insanely cheap considering how good it is and 5: my brief research seems to indicate the Ace pro will give roughly the same looking LOG footage as previous Insta cams - well I assume so because they seem to offer the same Log->Rec709 LUT for all their cams, can you confirm this works for it? 6: sucks for GoPro enthusiasts - for years they have put up with crashes, freezing, corrupted files and missing audio and their loyalty has been rewarded by the 12 being the worst action cam on the market lol
Havent had freezes or crashes on gopro since hero 8 and when I started updating from sd card. 🤔 though I did skip hero 9. Ace pro does not have LOG, only Flat profile. The ace is very nice mostly, but sometimes it guesses the white balance totally wrong 🥶 the image is entirely blue (overcast) or even green (low light in the snow). Also idk why the stabilization sometimes is wobbly even in daylight scenes when my x2 and hero 12 is just fine 🥲
@@kaltask1 you’re lucky with your GoPro, I had endless trouble with my 9 in a media mod, it would freeze when you charged it. How was the reliability of GoPro during the testing perioid? With degrading reliability of their cameras, that is the major problem they should focus on, as the quality, as always is pretty good.
I used to face this reliability as well, anda for sure is the overheating the battery, so my solution has been to take the battery off and use a power bank to provide energy while recording...

Actually not true anymore. If you’ve watched the TH-cam videos in the past few days, you will see that people have successfully removed the lens cover without damaging it. It has a bayonet mount similar to GoPro. Insta360 glued it in place in two small spots. The glue in no way provides any waterproofing. It makes no sense why insta360 decided to glue it on.

Great night vision from the Ace Pro, but the GoPro seemed to have the best colour saturation when shooting in normal daylight.

Do any action cameras exist with upside-down software available on GoPro?
