I live in Germany and my first language is German and bc I watch Rachel's vlogs daily I've OBVIOUSLY started to say HELLO Emily-style, but I say it in German (HALLO). And now my mom's started doing it too, and it might be some sort of chain reaction that's happening lol. Just saying, Emily's influence reaches further than you might think 😂😂😂

It’s such a habit, and I can’t ever stop saying it lol! I’ve gotten others to start saying it also as it definitely rubs off on others 🤣

Right!!! The fact she murdered the guy. Then got off Scott free. And lived a whole new life with her true love. And never told him that she actually killed the guy. Keeping it in her heart all those years. And taking it to the grave with her. It lead to so many questions for me. Would she have killed him if he didn't try hurting her. Did she have to kill him or were there any other options. Why keep the necklace that proved her guilt. How come she never admitted the truth to her husband. That seems like a pretty deep dark secret to keep, especially to the person she married. I get not wanting to tell him right away. But a few years down the road. You would think not telling him the truth would of ate her alive.

Where the crawdads sing! Good book. Other Birds by Sarah Addison Allen has a similar vibe. The plots aren’t similar but the pacing felt similar. And it’s also in the south and nature plays a huge role. 10/10
