Emily is her personal assistant to help her in her work so if Rachel does not respect Emily how is she supposed to do her job? Rachel is unnecessarily smitten with Abby
these comments 💀💀 Emily and Rachel do not hate each other even though they act like they do lmao. They are friends and work together but like any two people they have disagreements. Rachel isn't in the wrong for having a personal bias favoring her girlfriend, and Emily is not in the wrong for being upset about it
Jealous of what exactly? By Rachel's own admission, Emily's ideas/suggestions are repeatedly dismissed and put down by Rachel only for Rachel to then welcome and praise those exact same ideas/suggestions when they are presented to her by Abbie. That pattern of behaviour is not okay or healthy. It is disrespectful & invalidating and if it happens as often as Rachel says it does, there is real danger of it becoming demoralizing for Emily. Humour is great but not if there could be actual hurt feelings and resentment growing under the surface. I think that you may be confusing justifiable hurt with jealousy. Thankfully, this particular element or ''theme'' of their friendship can be easily eliminated with a little mindful effort on the part of Rachel.
@@LM-mr3fd i understand your intent but- rachel has said on the podcast that she's aware that she can be a bit disrespectful to emily and that she's working on being nicer. that doesn't mean one day she's invalidating emily's suggestions and being a jerk and then the next day being an absolute angel. it takes time to heal a relationship, even if it's just a work relationship or friendship. they are friends and they have their problems, it's not much deeper than that
@@eselcool3720 With all due respect, I never suggested that Rachel wasn't self-aware or wasn't working on being nicer. I think that it is good that they discuss things openly so that work can be done if needed. I'm well aware that all relationships have their challenges and that the individuals involved need to put in effort to work through those challenges over time. I just wouldn't want this kind of thing to become an even bigger issue due to humour possibly blurring the lines, so to speak. As viewers, we can only go by what we are shown in a 10 minute vlog. The same footage is going to hit us all somewhat differently depending on our own personal experiences and circumstances. I tend to care very deeply but I am also careful to try to not make assumptions. I don't know if Rachel and Emily exaggerated this aspect of their friendship for comedic effect or not. All I know is that they both seem to be people who genuinely care about having healthy relationships and they both seem willing to put work into bettering themselves, so I trust that if there is an actual problem with this particular aspect of their friendship, that they will be able to work it out. Take care.

As the Adorable should be! A prior friend of mine did this to me all the time with her boyfriend. People tried to tell me I was jealous. Um, no thank you! It became so toxic, disrespectful and rude! We had to stop working with each other.

@@led_5226 I have experienced this as well and it can be rather invalidating. And if it happens often enough, it can become demoralizing. I know that they were joking about it and Emily's one person reenaction was very entertaining but I do think that it would be wise of Rachel to put real effort into putting an end to this particular ''constant theme'' of their friendship. Resentment can sneak up on you when you least expect it.

I bought a pizza pan because despite what the box says I refuse to put the pizza directly on the rack. I don't want the toppings dripping into the bottom of my oven. Pulling the pizza out of the oven is easier if it is already on a pan. And I totally get it about the cleaning thing. I was told by my brother that I needed to put up a fence at our parents' house. He told me I needed to completely rip out the bushes in order to make room for the fence to be put in. I wanted the bushes to just be trimmed back and not be fully removed. When he tried to give me push back, I said to him that since I was the one doing all the work, then I am doing it my way.
