YOU CAN wash THE OUTSIDE of your V, however its recommended to use a PH-Neutral liquid soap, you can actually buy special V soap. The reason for this is, if you use fragrances or a soap with the wrong Ph it can cause irritation and distrupt your natural bacteria. You should NEVER wash your insides as your V is self cleaning and washing it can cause infections etc....
I think Rachel is confusing the inside and outside. Don’t wash in between the labia majora. You can wash the area that has skin like the skin on your arm but not the delicate skin parts

You can wash the outside, with soap. I’m 73 and my lady bit has been washed with regular soap, nothing special and it still remains ok.

Rachel is right. At least according to my gynecologist. I was informed by my gynecologist that we are supposed to only use water to wash the vulva/outside of the vagina because soap will harm it, even V-wash. Only use water. Seems strange but it's better for it so I have been told

i use the i scented ph balancing vagisil and it works great for me. i used to use regular soap and it would cause random irritations and stuff but not i use actual feminine wash it doesn’t bother me and i stay smelling fresh.
Yeah thats the stuff docs say not to use. I say fuc them, clean ourselves unless it causes an issue.

You can if you are VERY careful use soap on the OUTSIDE of your vagina, however you really should just use warm water and a soft towel. Your vagina is very tightly regulated by your body to keep it balanced and kill off any bad bacteria. Introducing soap into that area can throw off that balance and cause yeast infections!

If you watch mamadrjones (very informative channel from a obyn) she says that there is no need to wash the inside of your vulva and you should def leave the vagina alone. She says it’s a self cleaning oven. The fancy ph balance soap are just a marketing thing.

The brand Honey pot has lady bit soap. It’s a foam and I use it. I love it. They have wipes. And foam. And other products. It’s vegan and safe. And it’s great. 🥰
I've heard that's not a good product anymore. Self Care Queen Hailey Gamba doesn't even recommend it anymore

You can wash the outside with soap, but it has to be a PH balanced soap, or a soap that is specifically for the vagina. Like Summers Eve soap. That is correct what Rachel said; most soap will kill the good bacteria & sometimes cause a UTI, NEVER clean inside. we already know that tho lol. The best way to clean is with warm water and a wash cloth.

Vulva (=the outer parts) yes, normal perfume free soap is fine, vagina no. If it has mucus membranes stick to just water.
In terms of soaps for personal use, you don't need soap on any of your vulva. You can use water and that's perfectly sufficient, or you can use a gentle soap on your thighs, but you shouldn't be using anything on your vulva or labia at all (any part of all of it), because you can throw off your natural biome leading to yeast or bacterial infections.
