You cannot give up on your dreams. Building a career, getting married and becoming a parent are 3 different stages and you are supposed to deal with them separately and not all together.
Take as much time as needed but make sure you have settled one phase before starting the other.

Face off situation! and both don't want to accept it... Well in this case both are right in their points it's not so late for both to think about future and take right decision that what they want in their lives.... And make right choice! If he wants to be friends and she wants to get married it never make the things better for both... So it is better to take time for themselves and come to the conclusion.
