I wish I was living in the same bubble as you guys are. Sadly In India, even dusky color, beautiful girl isn't considered pretty because she isn't fair. Forget about the color you are born with. Get tanned for a day and hear your uncles and aunties telling you how dark you have become. I wrote this #shortfilm I am a shade lighter than the girl we have casted in our short film. And I have heard hundred times how dark I am. Maybe because I come from North India, hence the expectation of fair skin is much higher; SADLY. The motive of the film was to say, that dark is beautiful. whatever shade it might be. 🙏
Lol that's not true here in the south side you can see actress who are dark, aunties might look at you like you're dark when you are actually dark, uncles ka chodoh ich aap they're even more darker than me but that doesn't mean being dark is inferior or something it's just a colour and we don't have to worry about it and dusky skin always looks beautiful.

I've got so used to these comments that I just laugh it off 😂 Luckily, I have a very loving husband... Once, someone jokingly asked him "which color did you fall for? Face or arms?"
