In the United states it’s perfectly legal for a citizen to manufacture a firearm. The only restriction is if they have a criminal history that bans them from ownership.

@@ethanbroussard yes, while exercising your rights to manufacture firearms you must follow all other applicable laws. But that should be obvious. You also can’t manufacture machine guns with out the proper clearance from atf. You can however manufacture a sbr if you apply and receive the proper clearance from the atf. Again you gotta follow the applicable laws

If I could make one piece of advice: don't get discouraged by people asking stupid questions, and know that it means people are trying to make it work, trust me people ask WAY more stupid questions on way less complicated builds! You are super appreciated in this community.

The TH-cam channel (Teaching Tech ) offers an incredible detailed tutorial on everything you basically need to know on how to properly set up your Ender or other 3D printer, the video also reveals a few tip's and customization.

So it's been a difficult time having energy. I didn't know you can have radiation poisoning for years (did have to have chemo, just massive radiation). I need to still install the silent board. And then need a very basic how to use video. Not that I'm not computer literate, I am. I taught myself many different programming languages like C and lua. Just need a basics lol

I get great results with my Ender-3 v2 and ABS. I use a simple box of 1/2 insulation foam board.... has a vent in the top and I also added a small pieces infront to seal off the front of the base so the cpu and ps can suck cold air in from the front

Hey friend thanks for the information. I have had an ender 3 (pro) for a while, and i have a big tip for a couple upgrades for you.
Order a “BTT skr mini e3 v2” and a “BTT TFT35 e3 v3”
The skr mini e3 v2 is a different motherboard for the printer. It has silent stepper motors and more ports for plugging in other upgrades. All you need to do to install it is move the plugs from one board to the other. Almost every plug is in the same exact spot. Was a pretty easy install. Makes the printer nearly silent.
The TFT35 e3 v3 is an upgrade screen that has touch capabilities and other added features. This is more of a quality of life upgrade than anything.
I can help you with any of it if you need it. There is a lot of information about it out there though
I also built my own filament runout sensor. I can show you how i made it if you like. I ordered all the stuff to make it on amazon but if you don’t have a connection crimper, soldering iron, etc, i am more than willing to just ship you one as i have extra parts. I’d say for free but it’s moreso as a small payment to you for your content :)
While PLA+ is fine (I've never used it myself, but heard good things), PETG is another great option for a touch more strength (especially under heat) for just a bit more dialing in of settings.

you know, i stumbled upon your channel only recently when i saw your 10/22 3d printed build, i basically just bought a 3d printer (ender 3 btw XD) because i was planning on using it for some airsoft project i had in my head, sadly i can't 3d print guns in my country (italy), i really found this video interesting since i have tons of ideas of stuff i want to build for airsoft, and 3d printing is great because if something breaks i can well, just print a replacement, i really hope to see more airsoft content from you in the future and see what you'll come up with, and maybe also give it a try if you feel like sharing the files, let's all hope this year will be better for everyone

Love watching your 3d printed guns and the subtle mods they get. Just watched your update and big chungus ones. I love the 17L, have 2 myself( consecutive sn#s) . Thought while watching if when you made big chunky frame if adding a mag holder in front of trigger was ever thought of? Look kinda like your 3011 but with 2 mags in it. Just a out of the box idea. Love the vids!
I think 3d printing guns is cool, but you know someday someone is going to start printing 3D ammo and that's gonna be a game changer.
That's gonna be a lot more involved than making the guns for a lot of reasons but yeah in theory I guess it's possible.

Hey man this is one of the only videos that actually goes deeper and shows how it actually works and how to do it ,good job man but I’d love to know more about the actual technical side though too like how to get files over /slice /print etc it would really help and nobody really talks about how to do all that

CFL and LED lights produce a lot of interference - broad spectrum of noise. I would recommend using an energy saving halogen bulb (linear load) instead of those. It may help to prevent issues.

ALSO 😂😂 you should do a video on how you remove your supports because your frames look super clean and I always jack mine up with removing the support.
I've never had issues removing supports and I feel very lucky about that, lol. The vz61 receiver has a TON of fat overhangs, so it had a lot of support to remove, but honestly wasn't too bad. Just clip and pop it off wherever it sits and use a sanding stick on any leftover blobs. Easy peasy!

You must apply a serial number and then submit it to the ATF, then you can sell it according to your state firearm sale laws.

I heard of a filament you can buy that contains carbon fiber material, and I think that a strong material like it would be just perfect for an application like this.
Depends on which Kind of Carbon Fiber fillament you buy because there are some that are Just filled With chopped Carbon Fiber and Those aren't any better than normal fillament

Love the 10/22 "Flintlock" design. I am curious since the upper is 3D printed how much have you shot it? What is your estimate for how long it might hold up? I know a 22LR isn't overly powerful, but the heat and repeated forces have got to take their toll. Still would love to build one of these just because I could. Haven't bought a 3D printer but very interested in one as a hobby, and I like shooting as well, so sounds like a match made in heaven. I also live in a free state so only would need to make sure I wasn't violating any fedeal laws. At the same time I'd love to make one that I could actually use and not be constantly worrying that it would break.
That 10/22 design can safely run for thousands of rounds if you print it well and use the right materials.
@@booliganshootingsports Of the three which one would you use if you did it again PLA, PLA+, ABS? I believe you said you got the barrel, bolt assembly and trigger group from ebay. Were these Ruger parts or 3rd party? thanks, great video for a novice looking to get started with 3D printing.
All factory take-off parts from Ebay. PLA+ is what I've done my most recent 10/22 receiver out of, and it's been a very solid performer.

@@booliganshootingsports I got a spool of nylonx and nylong to try out, so far have only tried nylong and havent been able to get a single frame printed out in the past week. Just stops extruding partially through. Still trying to figure out how to fix it. Any advice would be appreciated, Printed one pla and pla+ just fine though

It’s funny that you mentioned airsoft. That is exactly why I bought my 3d printer. I want to tweak a mp5 mlok hand guard to have a classic built-in torch. Just to combined a bit of modern with some classic for my WE tech mp5 A3 gbb. I’m just starting out so I’d love to pick your brain on great places to get prints and clever ways of tweaking them

I always have had a fascination with all types of home build guns since I seen the film the day of the jackel staring Edward fox years ago. 3D printing has taken things to a whole new level. Just wondering have you ever seen the film in the line of fire staring Clint Eastwood??? John malocovitch plays an assassin who molds components and when assembled is a take down two shot derringer pistol. I have never seen anyone build such a gun on utube. I have seen it, and unfortunately, a metal-free gun would be illegal because of the Undetectable Firearms Act. There has to be a certain amount of metal (3.7 oz) in the firearm while in firing configuration for it to be legal. However, if you were to design something along those lines as a lookalike build but with rifled metal barrel liners and possibly some metal embedded in the grip, it could be done legally!
@@booliganshootingsports thank you very much for your reply.. i agree with you about it having to be constructed with a certain amount of steel parts because of the undetectable firearms act but also because i would question the safety of the pistol if a real world version was fired.in the film it seemed be of a 9mm or 380 calibre. The composite material would be unlikely to withstand the pressure without a steel rifled barrel.. there was a version of the same concept of gun used used in the 1995 film no way back staring Russell Crowe. A working steel built replica would be really cool to see.

Also with the ar receiver, print at 45 degrees with a raft and touching table support works everytime
I did 45 degrees angled on the bed to fit, no raft needed with the Vanguard design, it's flat and chunky with lots of surface area on the bed. Support everywhere on mine and it worked perfectly. I've done a few of my AR22 receiver designs this way, works great!

california prohibits DIY firearms without licensing the device. And I suspect you can't get a license for a handgun not on the approved list.

I enjoyed your video. I like the stuff you make. I can't say I always understand it, but I like it! I like to think I would print a COP .357 design if I could., but in .22LR or maybe .32 Auto. .32 H&R Mag? It seems like a fairly simple design, and the barrels would be a single block of metal...or four tubes pressed into a printed/cast polymer block. Other than the firing pin disk, hammer spring, and firing pin and spring, I don't see why the rest could not be printed. Of course, since I have never 3D printed anything, I could be way off base.
Anyway, I am sure there are a bunch of us that appreciate your videos, even if we don't always get to watch them!
