I’m 63, and over the years, have been buying Jordan’s 34-36. Fire ass shoes, but no hype behind them. People missing out . Whenever I wear them , people always are surprised that they’re Jordan’s.
I just want to know, why everyone compares the “comfortable” models of other brands to just the “Hype driven” or “retro” models of Nikes when saying things like “Nikes/Jordans are just so uncomfortable. I can’t see myself spending blah blah blah.” If a quality that people are looking for is comfort, try Nike running shoes, and I’m not talking about vomero 5s or some huaraches (which are retro models), I’m talking about the new tech input in running and training styles like invincible runs, infinity runs or even Pegasus 41s then compare it to these other brands running styles.
A lot of it is Nike's own doing. Yeah the price hike is a good part of the lack of sales but, I think its mainly the hype business strategy that has caught up to them. Keeping things limited to generate hype only works for so long before it hurts you. Limited product equals limited sales. Meanwhile the rest of their product sits. The Hypebeasts only want hype stuff and nothing else. People cant get the stuff they want so, now they move to fakes or other brands like New Balance, Asics, and even Crocs.
Economy isnt doing too hot as credit card debts reach all time highs, and the average consumer is struggling with inflation and high interest rates. Nike thought they had "Pricing Power" and continued to raise their prices. But nah, now they suffering. Nike stock going to $60
Nobody buys Jordans for comfort. We buy them for what they represent. The culture. The GOAT. Retail prices have gotten out of hand. Resellers really hurt the game. Wait for them to go on discount, if you miss out, no worries cuz another one right behind it. Peace.

Excuse me while I literally order another a pair of New Balance’s. A shoe company that delivers quality and comfort that’s actually worth what I’m paying for it. ✌🏻Nike!
It's not that people don't want or like Nike or Jordan. It's the price right now. Plus like you said why am I buying a shoe on release day that'll be $20 - $40 less in a couple of weeks. They're going to have to lower the price on sneakers and $20 or $40 ain't going to cut it. It's going to have to be way more cause still at $150 - $180 they're pushing it.
Its a few things - 1. Panda dunks ruined the nike dunk hype that they had just started up again - then they overdid it. 2. People are broke - and realizing that this is a luxury, not necessity. Also - with so many people with no money, its not safe wearing shoes valued at thousands of dollars 3. Jordan silhouettes are overlapping….people who have collected for a while are seeing shoes re-retro when the shoes they have are still in nds condition. People are sick of rebuying the same shoes 4. People just dont care about shoes like that anymore…ive collected since 2007 and no one cares if you have dope vintage sneakers on anymore. Most people dont care about vintage grail sneakers…most people are looking for the newest hype shoe….its just so oversaturated that no one is impressed by jordans anymore. Thats why jordan is coming out with pure heat next year….they need to get the real sneakerheads back on their side…they’ve catered to soccer moms and tik tok trends for too long…letting this resell market ruin their business
It's not just inflation. To me it's also thot'n out shoes. I remember when I got into J's in the late 90s you'd get 2 silhouettes and probably 3 or 4 color ways. So no more than 10 drops a year. So something coming out every week and comfort isn't priority at all. Just waters down the product. You got give us time to miss it. Nike doesn't understand that bc of that 2010-2020 hype was crazy. They struck while the iron was hot, which we all would. Now come back to reality with lower prices ( $175 max unless it has new tech ) and give us more comfortable ✌🏾
Nike releases WAY to many colorways on the SAME SHOE, (Jordan 1, and 4 specifically) in a short amount of time. It’s a buyer’s market right now, so take advantage of it while you can. I buy shoes, and I WEAR THEM. I don’t care what there’re going to be worth 6 months from now. I have shoes that date back to 2007, and they still look almost new, but because I have so many shoes, they don’t get worn out. I buy almost all of my shoes from the outlets, and pay a fraction of what retail is. I’m not stuck on a specific brand either. While I love my Nike’s (Jordan 1 OG highis are my favorite because I had the original black, and red ones as a senior in ‘85) I also buy Adidas, Puma, New Balance, Converse (which Nike now owns) Under Armour, and Reeboks also.
I think its an amalgamation of things if im honest , economic climate affecting people being able to spend , price hikes for all models, trends! Unfortunately in the fashion industry its just not the time of retro jordans , look at all the catwalks, all the models rocking the comfy runners at the moment rather than old uncomfortable retros.
It's not just "nike" it's also the exaggeration of resellers out there.. way over flooded with that and consignment shops.. asking for high prices when you just said it yourself "we in a time where everything is high"..nike is raising the prices ..well you guys don't help the situation neither ... but time will tell and see where nike will go..
Nothing wrong with going back to work bro. You got a great channel. It’ll come back. Most people r working 3 jobs between the husband wife. Stay up Man.
Sneakers aren’t dead, resell is hanging on by some string but shit isn’t dead. Nike was late to the party with producing sneakers and overproduced shoes no one wants, not to mention raising prices and the quality has been subpar. Other brands taking off definitely hurt their bottom line to a degree. Nike needs to focus affordability and comfortability and they will rebound. Listen to your fan base, stop producing sneakers no cares for and add some updated tech to these retros.
Now u can actually buy them but they increased the price so it's like they are the resellers😂😂look at them now nike is WAY TO GREEDY!! I rather walk barefoot
'Lowest economic times', nah, companies are raking in 50% corporate profits where as previous inflation periods only accounted for 10% profits. People are tired of overpaying! Were done!
Prices aren't the problem... all that did was make reselling less profitable and let people who want to buy them be able to get them. The entire economy is slowing down, nikes included. I hope they raise the price even higher so you can get them directly from Nike vs. a reseller. Nike stock is going down because they don't make the retros people want, they keep reimagining them instead of making them all OG. Not a hard problem to solve.
I’ve been saying the same thing about Jordans and a lot or retro Nike shoes. If they’re going to go up on the price like they are they could at least improve the comfort .
You got Nike upping the prices and then suing websites and counterfeits while losing out on profit because they played that limited game. I still think Lost & Founds destroyed the sneaker market, and I think Nike knows it. That was one sneaker that had people give up on the brand.
It’s crazy how people would complain they couldn’t purchase Nike or Jordan’s at retail from 2020-2023. Now you can buy 99% of Nike and Jordan’s at retail or even below retail since the hype has gone down, but now these consumers don’t even want it anymore since there’s no hype. I can guarantee once Nike and Jordan’s get hyped up again and they start selling out again, people are going to come back complaining they can’t buy them at retail😂
Nobody cares about shoes when people are struggling financially! Burgers $20, gas is expensive, crime is rampant! Businesses closing! WTF is wrong with our country!!
I want to Add the J.Balvin Rios to my collection but the cost needs to go down there still over $400 But the Nina Chanel I thought were going to be expensive but I added them to my collection they were actually affordable
Nike is still number 1 but it’s a lot my brands that’s has heat like ASICS , new balance and Adidas basketball ant man’s . Hell even saucony had some bangers
Nike over saturated the market with way too many drops and color ways. Jordan brand release over a hundred different Jordan 1’s last year. They should cut the number of releases like 5 Jordan 1’s or 4’s or 3’s a year with high production numbers but never higher than 250k pairs. Something like that might bring back some of the hype of their shoes
Am one of those guys that like quality and comfort. Not into Nikes at all and on the NB and Asics. Nike quality is down and Jordans to be honest aren’t comfortable for all day use
This could be the end of Nike we like sneakers but every year the raising prize on Jordan’s this year jobs want down people are buy fake shoes for low price
Nike has been making countless HORRIBLE decisions for a really long time and it’s finally catching up with them. HORRIBLE quality control, HORRIBLE and inconsistent choices for materials, confusing colorways and names, backdooring sneakers, insane prices, and their shoes aren’t even remotely as comfortable or as quality as the competition. And having to compete with bots/resellers is beyond ridiculous. Other brands especially lately are just plain and simply doing it better all across the board. Other brands (especially New Balance) are making Nike look like a complete rip off. Also… Joe Biden and the Democratic Party has destroyed our economy with inflation and it’s hard to afford anything right now.
Let them wear their Asics, Hoka, NB or other brand bro. Still Nike and Air Jordan looks great on feet. 😅 No one turn their heads on Hoka. 😂 For me Sneakers are not dead, People just broke and spending their money on basic needs. And now you can buy nike & jordan in store. Thats an absolute W for us. And i think will just wait and see next year. NIKE & Jordan probably will blast it.
You raise the price, you lose the interest of the people. Their stuff sits and they refuse to have sales or allow you to include the good stuff in their sales.
Few things….it isn’t that Nike raised the costs….the issue is Nike bottlenecked the ultra hype shoes instead of just making a decent amount and it has alienated that group of folks who are not going to pay…and then Nike makes an abundance of shoes nobody asked for in which they are sitting….Nike also stopped investing into the whole athlete which is what made them the company they are…Nike lost its way a long time ago….JB makes them money but it is not for the long game….
Prices are up & Nike produces to much unnecessary product, bad materials & not enough of the product that people actually want! Stop playing wit the stock #’s on SB’s & Jordan & special collab’s & they will be ok!
Nike played a major role in getting humbled this way. Making these shoes ridiculous to cop and the constant price increases. The quality issues and the lack of originality and marketing. The second is no offense you resellers. I don’t knock how another person eats BUT you guys have altered the culture. Nobody wanted to miss than pay 150+(depending on shoe)on top of retail to you guys. So people opened up to reps and other brands. These alternate brands are more creative, comfortable and the quality damn near always beats Nike 🤷🏾♂️. I love Nike but they absolutely deserve this humble pie
Jordan/ Nike need to stop focusing on bringing back older shoes or grails that people couldn't get back then. They need to make those same shoes now for the newer generation. So in 10-15 years they will want those same shoes to retro. Like most of the people who are interested in the older grail shoes or retro's coming out now are old heads or people above 25-30. Not so much the younger generation unless it's a Hyped up pair that's reselling or holds value.
I feel as jordan brand pushing too many retros out at 1 time u know I remember bck in the day jordan 11s was the grail of all grails smh maybe 2025 lineup be bangers
Nike is struggling because their ‘legacy shoes’ are not comfortable … they are all just looks … and most people won’t accept that … A lot of their new shoes are good, though … I love my Vomeros …
Keep rising the price Nike y’all keep taking Ls 225 on a pair of Js that has major quality control meanwhile you have ASICS killing the game they are comfortable they don’t have major quality control and lastly they don’t cost as much
Nike will always be a staple, but they have gotten stale, not to mention last year with all those trash 2 releases. Other brands have also been on the come up and Nike with those TS releases that no one can hit on ppl have pivoted to other brands and Nikes price point 200+ for some releases is a no.

I’ve been saying the same thing about Jordans and a lot or retro Nike shoes. If they’re going to go up on the price like they are they could at least improve the comfort .
Yea people just aren’t buying them unless it’s a huge release. Other than that it’s just Kobe which I always take an L so
You got Nike upping the prices and then suing websites and counterfeits while losing out on profit because they played that limited game.
Jordan 1, 3 and 4 are still some of the best looking silhouettes imo, they will come back when Nike get their act together
Nobody cares about shoes when people are struggling financially! Burgers $20, gas is expensive, crime is rampant! Businesses closing! WTF is wrong with our country!!
That's what you guys get for voting for Sleepy Joe 😂
Resellers did ruin the culture, but Nike is fine. If you pay attention to how they market their brand via MLB NBA WNBA NFL, etc. They good lol
We appreciate your grind! Keep pushing. 💯🙏🏾💫
Hipsters killed the game but I'm real shoe head nothing is going to change for me I like what I like I don't need tik tokers to tell me what's cool
They beat us up with AJ1s and dunks. Their quality keeps getting worse and none of their GR shoes stand out regardless of price point.
Biggest facts!
Let them wear their Asics, Hoka, NB or other brand bro. Still Nike and Air Jordan looks great on feet. 😅 No one turn their heads on Hoka. 😂
For me Sneakers are not dead, People just broke and spending their money on basic needs.
Thats why we rock vomeros and p6000 these days
Counterfeiter and resellers made the sneaker industry to it's knees.
Picking up Nike stock for the low low
Cap
Real talk! Love the transparency brotha!
75 to 150 is 100% profit not 50% your math ain’t math-in
Prices are up & Nike produces to much unnecessary product, bad materials & not enough of the product that people actually want!
“ “ Just only buy from Nike Outlet! “ “
.
The rep sneakers are getting good
Chris crazy 2024 not it for sneakers dis year like it nothing dis year 😢
😢😢
Nike is struggling because their ‘legacy shoes’ are not comfortable … they are all just looks … and most people won’t accept that …
A lot of their new shoes are good, though … I love my Vomeros …
The end of nike ?? Yeah right .. nike coming with the heat in 2025 im copping hella shit
Consumer spending is low people are tight with money they ain’t going to spend 100$ on a pair of sweatpants stock will go much lower by the way lol
Nike feels terrible on foot for the tax they charge...ex. $220 aj4
Nike and Jordan need to make their shoes more comfortable. Simple.
Good! Nike is greedy as fuck and to raise the prices on these shitty shoes. It's not Worth it! Ppl are fkn broke and nike don't care.
AIN'T NOBODY BUYING RESALE ANYTHING REMEMBER WHEN PEOPLE WAS BUYING RESALE RETRO JORDAN FOR $350???$$$
Reps have gotten so much better 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️
Jmk’s intro topic questions are top notch 😂😂🔥 can’t wait to see you again in ny/nj 💪🏼
Finally I’ll be able to afford some shoes
I'm still excited. Best time to buy AJs
Keep rising the price Nike y’all keep taking Ls 225 on a pair of Js that has major quality control meanwhile you have ASICS killing the game they are comfortable they don’t have major quality control and lastly they don’t cost as much
Awesome shirt, is there website for them?
@oldschoolrookies_
Sounds to me like it’s time to buy Nike stocks lol
All facts!!!💯💯💯
Nike will always be a staple, but they have gotten stale, not to mention last year with all those trash 2 releases. Other brands have also been on the come up and Nike with those TS releases that no one can hit on ppl have pivoted to other brands and Nikes price point 200+ for some releases is a no.
I blame the resellers. No disrespect, yall did this
