Another tip: When soulflaying enemies, you choose the direction in which their soul goes with the left stick. Very useful for the Perch area, as you can easily kill the bucket heads by throwing them off ledges :)
I've been playing souls games from the day Demon souls first launched. Is this game the evolution of the genre?... No... is it better than elden ring? ....No... Is it awesome and is it worth my time? ...Hell yes!
I don’t care nothing about the negative reviews online and instead I’m gonna have a great time with this masterpiece of a game whether anybody else likes it or not as I know it’s gonna be incredible…… Edited Comment as the performance was flawless for the first few hours but once you get into pilgrims perch area it gets really bad especially when in umbral and I mean really bad almost to the point of unplayable but the game is still phenomenal performance issues aside and if the devs can fix the performance it’s gonna be an exceptional classic type game because it’s already very very good, and I hope the game is successful sales wise and the devs really get it nearly perfect through patches so we’ve got a better chance of a sequel somewhere down the line cause if it sells like crazy chances are we’ll see the devs do another game or maybe even dlc before that but if it doesn’t sell enough then the thought We might never get a follow up is a sad thought cause playing this is like playing souls for the first time where you couldn’t imagine never having a sequel and that’s how I’m feeling about it

You can buy vestige seeds from Molhu for 1200 vigor, so I always have at least one on me when exploring and just put it down as soon as I find a spot. Then I warp back and buy a new one, and repeat.
@@cursedcollection552 the buckets surprisingly are stronger than many weapons in game(even ones you find mid game). The armor also has good resistances don’t really need to change it til mid or late game. Oh and the moveset is really good and fast so you can fit more attacks into the windows you have available vs. say something with a big sword or hammer who can only do one strike in the same time. It staggers too so that’s incredibly helpful as well! You get to start at lv. 1 so your first 10-15 levels are gonna be cheaper than everybody else’s classes. Like for instance before even leaving the tutorial building I already had two levels to allocate! Plus when you go to respec you won’t have any wasted levels as they’re all 9! Vs. Say war wolf where you’ll have like 16 strength and you wanna do a radiance build, well now you’re stuck with 16 strength you can utilize and you got Punished with starting at lv. 15 or Whatever it is, to have those levels where they are. Condemned has the freedom to become whatever build you want, at all Times.

(For anyone reading this later on:) The real reason it’s often considered the best class is it has no wasted levels locked into stats you’ll never use. You can respec and actually start from level 1 instead of having 10-14 levels worth of vigor points permanently locked behind stats you’ll never use and no longer need for your current build. Because when you respec, you still cannot change your starting class. So it’s the best class for anyone who wants a totally custom build or who enjoys respeccing to test many different builds throughout their playthrough and also into NG, NG+, etc. It’s the best long term forward thinking foundation for a long playthrough or series of playthroughs. It’s also the best if you want to explore the game and decide as you play what your play style will be, rather than having one selected for you in advance by your starting class.
The only thing that made me actively angry so far is that there's an NPC in the Fen who can really support Paladin/Radiance builds, and you can accidentally kill her - UNLIKE EVERY OTHER NPC YOU MEET UP TO THAT POINT. Super frustrating that the game punishes you for slashing at a statue after conditioning you to believe that NPCs can't be attacked.
Quite frustrating indeed. I killed her somehow by just jumping up and down. I also missed the NPC at the bottom of Revelation Depths since I didn’t know she existed and ended up taking the elevator up before meeting her. This results in Byron just killing her and she’s gone forever smh. Looking her inventory up online showed me that I’ll be missing out on a few powerful rings amongst other things.
True, game doesn't tell you that in anyway which is a shame cuz after you soulflay it the moth disappear and you can grab the bait item. If not a wiki I would never figure it out.
heard so far THE most OP item is an eye you can put on your Lantern that makes u poise Boss Dmg and deal Huge dps while instahealin your entire health bar from withered dmg

The funny thing is this was silly easy on v1.00 but at the expense of softlock loops. Now, no loops, but it's waaay harder. Lost three playthroughs to the loop. Now I get to play the game without that concern, but my PC got nerfed into the dirt. it's obnoxious how they spiked the difficulty.
There is a third way to get pulled into Umbral: If you shine your lantern on enemies only shown in umbral long enough, they will attack you. If you let yourself get hit by this, it will pull you into umbral with only a small but of hp in the wither state instead of like 50%
Besides going umbral or by dying to get to umbral you can also get pulled in by being be attacked by an enemy in the umbral realm while holding the lamp.
It's also a good scenario being pulled in intentionally as being pulled in vs going in yourself/dying doesn't halve your hp into wither but you will loose a bit of hp from the enemy who pulled you in
@krillep280 And? Elden Ring had loads of bugs and glitches with multiplayer too. Both co-op and PvP. It's also poorly optimized on PC, and it still is. The game was unplayable for over a year until FromSoft finally made it a decent title. Even then, I still moved away from it because it's still suffering some glaring issues with AFK farmers. That doesn't mean I hate the game either. I still have it on my shelf, and I'm gonna hold onto it whenever the DLC comes out. This is a decent substitute until then.
Kill the boss Pieta and you can take her awesome lightsaber sword which scales specifically with Radiance only so it’s gotta literally be Taylor made for the Orian Preacher radiance magic build where you have strong magic and an equally impressive radiance scaling melee weapon and that’s the exact build I’m going for right off the jump 😁

So if you go into the Umbral ream (land of the dead) to kill orbs making enemies immune to damage, how do you get out? You have find a plant to get out, or can you just leave like how you entered?
I think the mobs that those orbs are protecting still remain in the umbral realm as well. So my guess is that if you don't want to blow them up with the lantern, then you dive into umbral, take them out, and fight that group of enemies, then find an exit back to the normal realm.

You do NOT need to go into Umbral to destroy those pustules. Hold up the lamp and hold RB/R1 to syphon them. Also, all the tutorial screens are available from the inventory menu. :)

Those "Mimic" drops... in Dark Souls you can kill the mimic still for their item, there no way of hunting down that big mouthed moth that ate your face? Looking around they just disappear...
You can soulflay them and they will die instantly. They have quite useful drops, especially the moths to teleport back to vestiges without losing vigor.

My game has frame drops so bad that me and the boss are frozen in time and I still won no excuses guys just do it. Almost beaten the game so far and in my opinion, the pvp is the only part that sucks. So many status effects and enhancers is hard enough to balance as is but player to player servers really ruins the experience. Disconnects, lag, and on top of that early stat glitchers have made themselves almost invincible.

If they fix frame rate and lag during certain parts (could be my series x but it seems common enough problem) then it would be perfect. That's the only issue I have with the game, and that's only because it can scuff a good session when it prevents you from dodging, running, or attacking. A friend and I had Light Reaper dead to rights but I froze in place and he just layed into me. It's happened solo so its not just multi.

there are special corpses you can interract with and come back to live. Also resting at a vestige brings you back too

You unlock new classes throughout the game to specifically use for new game+ so probably can rechoose your class every ng+

tired of all these youtubers getting access to every game before anyone else. like it makes it so much harder for newer youtubers to make subs off new games bc these mfs get access for weeks and months and soak 100+ hours into a game and then post everything on youtube with barely anytthing new to be found on there own. shits so weird and always have been. wish they didnt get special treatment bc they get views and its gonna boost there IPs.

@@andreichetan4694 Not really, basically everyone who gets these accesses literally have had over 100k subs for years now 😂 everyone just started doing this A LOT more recently. Now everyone gets the game free and been playing months before release. it’s corny. They need to sign an NDA.

If they fix frame rate and lag during certain parts (could be my series x but it seems common enough problem) then it would be perfect. That's the only issue I have with the game, and that's only because it can scuff a good session when it prevents you from dodging, running, or attacking. A friend and I had Light Reaper dead to rights but I froze in place and he just layed into me. It's happened solo so its not just multi.

Man, I don’t understand why some channels that cover souls like games for the life of them can’t use the terminology in the game that’s used. This isn’t Dark Souls, they’re not bonfires. It really takes away from the experience of a new game by just referring to its equivalent from another game. It’s really not hard to remember new names, yes our pea brains are capable of learning new things lol come on man.

Game is horrible on Xbox I love souls game and souls like game never had a negative review about them but the game is unplayable on Xbox with bugs graphics looking like ps2 graphics loading screens frame dropping I’m still giving it hope because I know this game has so much potential

Game is trash. Assets are stunning. Fighting mechanics suck balls and boss fights are not fun. I stopped playing. It's just no fun. Your basically fighting down coordors and always hitting walls. Having more fun eith lies of P
