Okay, that makes it make a little more sense why a song like this is tucked away in a screen you spend 5 seconds on. Still doesn't explain why they used their worst track for the daytime city theme you hear ALL the time
@jojonoa3590 bruh it's been nearly over a decade since xcx came out, and I don't see they change the track with the remaster on Switch lol. Hopefully they actually recompose the track and make it sound tolerable.
nothing like the awkwardness of Japanese lyricism in an otherwise amazing song. X is full of such pearls, and I recall the tyrant theme as the exponential of it. At least they made some songs in German so we don't have to care about that awkwardness (unless you're German or understand it :D )
Goodbye Xenoblade X Online servers, see you all again in Mira someday ♥ It's truly a shame that this song is only audible during Squad selection, it's such a hidden masterpiece and most people have only heard the first few seconds of it in game
Every time I listen to this song now it makes me so sad. This song is gone. I'll never hear it again when I open up Xenoblade X. I didn't appreciate it as much as I should've before it was gone, and now it just hurts. This game means so much to me and I wait for the day it comes back with online on a new console. EDIT: I… I didn’t realize this song was gonna get taken down along with Wii U online… If I’d known, I would have booted up the game one last time just to listen to it :(
I met Aimee Blackshleger at a convention once. I thanked her for the great vocal work she dit for Xenoblade X and she was all confused because nobody had ever mentioned her work on that game to her before. Since Hiroyuki Sawano is mostly prolific in anime composition and she sings on many of his songs, she's mostly used to be credited for anime work.
I cannot comprehend how this song is apparently stuck in the game's menu hahah. It's goddamn amazing and really puts the expectations of the other music in the game. Holy hell I can not wait to play this game next year. Fuck, the wait is so damn painful.
There is a CD of the whole OST. I have it right here. But that released back in 2015. Some kind of Vinyl Deluxe Edition would be damn awesome though. I don't think Sony Music Labels is going to do that though. Ever.

i honestly thought this played at the shops/dealers. i remember watching previews and having that play there.
It plays in a few cutscenes too, though only like 2 or 3
YEAH LOL I remember my first time hearing that drop I was just distracted doing something else while being on that menu. I fell off the couch

She herself feels trapped, too, unable to escape the lucrative position she finds herself in.
Deeply disturbed, she stands on top of a cliff and looks into the distance as rain pours from up above.

I see the woman breaking down infront of her partner, overwhelmed with her survivor's guilt.
She struggles to find meaning in her short life, which was given to her in an unfair exchange.
However, she is surrounded by supportive individuals who motivate her to keep going.
After a while, she returns to this same location and hears tales of humanity's hubris from her queen.

Now I see the woman kneeling on the floor and disappearing into the golden sky.
At the same time, I see citizens mobilize their armories to set their plan into motion.
