The convention is slated to feature speeches by Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz on Wednesday and Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris on Thursday.

Amen! The funny thing is I know if I post this speech to FB saying, "What a fantastic speech", there will be some people who tell me I am crazy. Some of them would be my friends and family because they are so committed to their "tribe". But like you said I don't know how anyone could listen to this speech and not agree with everything he said! Facts are facts, and everything he said, in my opinion, is nothing but "common sensed facts," aka the way more than the majority of Americans think and believe in".
I honestly feel like there is no reason to even fact-check his speech because he stuck to common sense reality! Obama has been a great man of integrity during his 8 years in office and continues to be that same person post-presidency. There aren't very many leaders who will have that kind of legacy. It behooves me how anyone could attack Obama's character! If he could run for president again, I would vote for him time and time again as long as he would continue to be the great man that he is. He is a man with character, integrity, brains, humor, and honesty, and, on top of it, he is relatable!

I have always said if the Trumps were my neighbors, I am pretty sure I would never become friends with them, and we would have nothing in common. But if the Obamas were my neighbors, I know I would be blessed to have such good neighbors. I know the importance of having good neighbors who look out for each other. I have said out loud many times that we are so fortunate to have the neighbors that we have. I am pretty sure that even Trump supporters would not find anything neighborly or friendly if they lived next door. He couldn't care less about the people who are so loyal to him. Total credit card debt (held mostly by the poor and middle class) fell from $646 billion to $612 under Trump… Biden took it from $612 and skyrocketed it to $911 billion by the end of 2023… and nearly double the credit card payment delinquency rate. Under Trump, real disposable after tax income grew 24%… which is why Americans’ savings rate nearly quadrupled from just 5.3% when he entered office up to 19.3%. Under Biden, disposable income fell from $54.5k down to $50k and with it, the savings rate plummeted from the 19.3% he inherited from Trump all the way down to 3.4%.
I voted for Obama twice. But I care more about the poor and middle class than I do partisan tribalism or my dislike of one person. Every data point shows definitively that a Trump sequel will be exponentially better for the health of our poorest and hardest working Americans vs a Biden/Harris sequel. North Korea is testing nukes again, China is provoking its neighbors, we’re fighting multiple proxy wars, Isis is back terrorizing people in the Middle East AND being found here domestically in multiple cities… and I assure you… they didn’t come because they finally realized they love us and want a piece of the American dream… and 11+ million people have died, been mutilated, or been forced to flee their homes and displaced by war with untold millions more at risk of this should China, N Korea, Isis, or the Taliban choose to make more moves.
