I love Steven Universe. Me and my oldest sister used to binge watch it everyday. That's why we're huge fans of it. My favorite character is Jasper, but Garnet will always be my favorite in the Crystal Gems. 💖💜
I love jasper as well! She's also on my crush list, along with Scorpioa from shera, I should make a part 2 to this video honestly

I've always loved garnet but not for her looks but for her personality and how kind and collected she is also I think her voice is gorgeous Thanks Estelle for giving garnet one heck of a soft voice

Syeven Universe was my favorite show i watched. i'm not interested with it's sequel but the original one was so nostalgic and it brings back lost memories. my fav characters are Garnet, Steven, Peal, Amethyst, Pink Diamond, etc. i just love someone like Garnet even though i'm straight as a straight flag.
As someone who is aroace and pansexual they are so pretty and I can understand why you like them as well and also I support you for being a black aroace person as well!

fun fact I'm actually bi and I do have a crush on Nikusa from FNF because something about this character makes me a Simp and if I see anyone with her like a male I would get a little jealous in a puppy manner.
The legend of Korra came out in 2014, so LGBTQ+ relationstips were highly contriversial in TV which is why the romance between Korra and Asami wasn't as fleshed out as Adora and Catra's relationship for She-ra (for example), the show actually got banned in many counties due to this as there weren't any shows representing queer relationships.
I love how many cartoons have LGBTQIA+ characters but what i really hate is that for some countries (example mine) some shows that have the queer characters shown very often are fully removen (Steven Universe is an example) and then some shows that have a more minimum amount of LGBTQIA+ representations just have some episodes cut off (Craig of The Creek, Adventure Time and The Amazing World of Gumball). I am very upset that Cartoon Network has done this in some countries. I hope they do something about it.
People forget that back then, when korrasami became canon, gay marriage wasn't even legal. The writers said themselves they wanted a lot more for them and wanted them to be even more developed, but Nickolodeon wouldn't allow it. They did what they could and I don't think its fair to compare a show that came out before gay marriage was legal to a show like she-ra or steven universe. She-ra and steven universe wouldn't be able to do what they did without shows like LoK.
I love TLOK, but I disagree with you on this one. I think its absolutely necessary to compare the show to modern depictions of queer women, not in an attempt to bash the show but to acknowledge that despite what it did do, it simply wasn't done properly, and to give some examples of shows that frankly did a better job. While it's important that we acknowledged that the creators had more limitations than shows today, its also still important to be realistic and honest about what they did depict regardless of the limitations placed upon them at the time.
I can acknowledge that what the show did was still important and impactful to me but also wasn't the best.
I like how people be nick picking characters but don’t stop to realize that literally no one cares. Like, yeah Garnet is curvy, so what? Get over yourself it’s legit just a fictional character
