He loved singing and wanted to make a career of it, but his mom refused, so he became a chemical engineer and was working as such when he decided to give a last chance to singing, and entered the Phantom Singer contest. He was working as a research chemist in Lotte BP Chemical; quite good company providing high salary when he auditioned at Phantom Singer 2. As the audition was designed for making a (good-looking) classical crossover quartet like il Divo from Korea, there were bunch of opera singers who majored in classical vocal and well-known musical actors. He was the only office worker who majored in (chemical) engineering in whole participants. But he used to sing as a vocalist in an amateur rock band (the band name was Pitta but it became Pittaband afterwards) in his leisure time. He stole the show singing the Phantom of the Opera duet song by himself. His audition clip has more than 4 millions views now only from Koreans as JTBC didn't release the video for abroad..if it was shown in the TH-cam at that time, he could be known to the world like Paul Potts in Braitain's Got Talent. He wanted to sing from his juvenil days but his parents didn't agree him to go to art school. So his music life started since he joined the rock band in the university. Even after graduation he continued the band and won the Grand-Prix in the labourers' band contest in Busan. His sensational audition song- the Phantom of the Opera was his killer repertoire from that contest. He used to cover Muse so he developed his falsetto that good. (He has very talented voice tho, great singing technique, too.) He said he thought he could quit from the music regretlessly with criticism he would get. But BAAMM! Thanks God he failed to quit from music! He quit from the research chemist job instead. lol He quit his research chemist job 1 year after the debut as Forestella. He would have worries and considering about career and steady salary, stable life but finally chose the life of professional musician. Each member of Forestella has their own unique singles. We recommend Cho Mingyu 'Aladdin or Top of the World', Go Woorim 'Autumn Leaves', and Bae Doo Hoon 'Despacito'.
Precisely it was "Speechless" the title of the song from Aladin. Cho MinGyu sang it in 8 different languages, and Into the Unknown from Frozen 2 in 12 different languages. My favorite piece from MinGyu is la Balada para un Loco however I love every single performance of his tho.

You have heard of Dimash haven't you? They just have the right equipment. Going from a chest voice to a head voice or a falsetto voice is not that difficult. It is having the force behind all your voices to be heard and be dynamic. This guy is a Baritone in his normal chest voice because of how low he can go. He can sing most Tenor parts because he has been blessed with the raw genetic material to train to get to those higher notes with power and also push down to lower notes when needed. I don't know if you can sing some. Most people can, even if they don't ever do it in public. Which is you and someone else in the room. Next time you're alone sing a note that feels like it is coming from your chest or stomach. Then sing the same note that feels like it is coming from your head. It might not be the same note but a different octave because you can't hear that yet. Once you get the feel of the two then go from one to the other at a quicker pace that is all this guy is doing only he does in key and better than everybody but a handful of other gifted people . So see singing similar is easy, singing like an angel takes practice and gifts you may or may not have.
