This cover by Dan was my introduction to Nightwish and I was mesmerized by the song and by Dan's interpretation of it. I know what you mean about feeling the music because I'm very much the same way. I enjoy the lyrics to many songs and they can sometimes move me, regardless of who is singing them. But... not every artist can make you feel them right down to your toes, in the way that Dan does. So many of his covers leave me feeling the emotions that he brought to them, for hours or even days, depending on the song and the feelings that it awakened in me. I think I must have watched a couple of dozen reactions to this song after hearing it for the first time and even though its been a couple of months since the last time, the goosebumps still reared their oddly satisfying little heads. Ugh! I'm so bummed to have been unable to join the livestream, especially for this cover by Dan. It's one of my very favorite ones & gives me goosebumps every time. Every part of this song is just hauntingly beautiful &, towards the end, during those higher parts, Dan sometimes seems to even have a bit of a "Geoff Tate" sound to me.
