Hey Ron, the opening is missing audio until you start filming. Intended?

Yep, thought I'd try it once. Some people complain about it. Personally, I think it has become part of the channel...the theme song, if you will. Don't worry, it will be back. This video was intended as my Christmas gift to my fans....a 3 for 1 video. I guess I could have used it as an April fool's joke without the Intro music....LOL. Again, don't worry, our theme song WILL be back. Thanks for watching and God bless.

It's always nice to watch competence at work.
On the other hand, watching incompetence can be amusing. A couple days ago I was watching a tow operator disentangling a pickup truck from the uhaul car carrier it was supposed to be riding on. The operator had no cribbing of his own along, do he took done cinder block blocks from a nearby landscaping wall. By the time the pickup truck and the trailer were separated, the jack on the trailer was broken, and the operator had broken a hydraulic line on the tow vehicle. I think there was also some more damage done to the pickup truck as well.

Ron, I felt for you because you ought to seen some of the fire calls and accident scenes I responded in weather like that. Man, I was soaked from head to toe and beyond. I was so wet on these type of rainy scenes that I was winkling like a wash rag. What's so hard doing this type of stuff you had to stay out in it until either the scene is cleared or another department or crew came and give you relief. That was what you call one after another like when it rains, it pours. Never know what to get into with weather like that and being prepared sometimes isn't enough but it what needs to be done to in my case clear a scene or you know get things back to normal.
Oh, tell your son I send a hello and that I know that he will someday be a super great leader. You Ron are a great leader, trainer, and a super Dad and you even better have a super son to be proud of. That's like me years ago when I was like that. I wanted to follow my Dad's footsteps as a firefighter and I did. I still am because it's in my blood but retired now, I don't have to get out on these calls but I sure miss them. Crazy ? You bet I am because it was one thing I loved more than life. Funny though, when I see a Fire Unit responding to a call, I catch myself responding also. Not any more. Enjoyed that life. We all are brothers even in towing and recovery. We all are in it to make someone's worst day their best day. I envy you and your crew and your son for doing what you all do. Can't express that enough. Keep it safe and always have God by your side.

You talking about the clutch vs auto transmission brings back a memory. When I first started driving, my car had a clutch, one day my mother picked me up at school and had me drive her car which was an automatic with a wide brake pedal. Well, I saw a friend and decided to stop and give him a ride, I proceeded to push the clutch in, only problem was I hit that nice wide brake pedal and tried pushing it to the floor. We stopped in a hurry!
Anyway, God bless and Happy Holidays.

I worked in Denmark for four years and each month travelled back to the UK. So it was LHD in Denmark and RHD in the UK, pick up a hire car at Heathrow most months it was a different model, so change side of the road, change hands for gear shifting, some time auto other manual gearbox's. Then model differences with indicators, lights switches etc. etc. spend a week getting used to the car and then fly back to Denmark to a Citroen at least that was the same.
Know what you mean about the big brake pedal, but I drove a Front End Loader that had two brake pedals one for highway use with the right foot. The second pedal to hold the machine stopped with the left foot while revving the engine to raise the bucket with the right foot. Now we did more loading than roadwork so used both feet all the time, when I then drove automatic gars I did the same and drove my friends mad.

I have went for a clutch that was not there! Have seen my dad try to hit the air brake release in a car! Sometimes depending on what car I use will reach for floor shift when it's on the steering column or the other way around Cannot left foot brake with car but it's no problem with my go kart or forklift at work and Shunt trucks !

Keep up the great work, and be safe. As someone in the same line of work it seems like there are more and more accidents these days. When I started 19 years ago, the county or state police might call you for an accident once a day, or maybe once every few days, now its almost guaranteed one to a few times a day. Great job on the first one, I hate when I can't get on the passenger side on a main road or highway with all of these distracted drivers these days. When I have to be on the driver side I will crouch down almost hiding behind the real wheel so if I have to I'll jump or roll under the truck either aiming for the middle so the wheels don't roll over top of me, or hopefully clear across to other side. Once again be safe, and thank you for the great content! Your a great leader and a great example of a Towing owner/ operator should be, and ignore the hate. Remember it's easier to hate than it is to love, but to me it's always JEALOUSLY!!

Hiya Ron, just catching up, and saw this video, all your rain there, here in Scotland, we call that drizzle, just a little Scottish shower you might say, as to your thunder and lightning, I just love it, when we get that here, I get the deck chair out and sit on the porch and watch it, I've always been fascinated by thunder and lightning, but your wee shower, if drivers drove to the conditions, it would make your life a whole lot easier, mind you, those drivers who don't drive to the conditions, they help keep the guys in the yard in a job, so good for those drivers

Ron, our car, (mine and my son's '97 Lincoln Town Car ) gave up the ghost about 3 weeks ago, after 265,000 miles. I hated that. If we'd been in Missouri, I would have called you to tow it, but I don't think I could afford to have you come to North Central Florida! lol! That was the most comfortable car I've ever been in, bar none, so I hated to see it go. But, we live sort of 'out in the country' and there's no public transportation around here. So, we bought another car! Great video. Hope your phone dried out okay! May God bless you and yours.
