I scrapped 40 of the new direct tv cable boxes that I got from a hospital. It was basically their entire television system infrastructure. Got it at an auction for $8.30, and none of it worked. They even had the activation cards still in them. Gold there. Scrapped the boards, got a couple hundred for them. Since it was being sold at an auction, direct tv didn't own them anymore. I checked with them and the hospital to be sure. But, i ended up with a crap ton of steel box enclosures. Got a few cents for them. Awesome video!
andy wilson+low grade boards, the price anyway usually goes up when copper does.ive stopped salvaging some copper content because the steel price vs.copper content is the same.
Been watching for while, you been very informative to me. I have gotten RF material to dismantle. Material is from airport radio equip. If you could find some of that you would find interesting. Boxes are silver lined i do believe.
have you scrapped an old time radio or 60s or 70s style record player? how about an 80s vending machine? I'd pay to see what's in these things. but I'd love to see weights, do a weigh in about everything you collect??? Great videos moose.
Here's a website that you might want to look around on. www.bruker.com/products/x-ray-diffraction-and-elemental-analysis/handheld-xrf/applications.html

Awesome find! I often do not advocate for paying for scrap but it looks like you got yourself a good haul!
clasic scrap is fun to watch. i enjoy your content. and i do hope you will find more things to tear apart..... and then sell.

Those rubber feet are good to hold onto. Radio rebuilders use those screw-on types for restorations.
Awesome thanks!
