Not a massive difference, the Tillotson has a slightly large bore diameter so it will add to the air flow. They are simple to use, if you can afford the upgrade I say go for it!
Hy please you can help me with this carburater tillotson hl384b - easykart 125 - 22,8mm i want to make it standard... Do you know to tell me how? How many hours four air? And the spring screw how many hours? Four standard carburation
I have a Tryton carby on my X30. Is it possible for you to do a segment on these. Tuning, pop-off etc... Also I read in the regs that it's OK to run the carby upside-down, I don't think that is possible on the Tryton. Is it possible with a Tillotson?
Hey Henry, the tryton is exactly the same as the Tillotson for the adjustments and servicing. it will also run in the upside orientation no problems at all.
@@PowerRepublic Would this also apply to nominal settings? I have a brand new X30 that I need to break in next weekend and I'm wondering where to start each of the screws. IAME assembly manual still lists the nominal settings for the Tryton carb.
I would want to tune my iame x30 and the fastest time in my track is 47.50 and I want to do that time how can I tune my iame x30? I need to tune it to get that time so what can I do to tune it? Is it the carburetor?
My prd fireball has a tilletson carb, im having a problem with fast idle, how do i turn that down? i know the accelerator isnt tight btw, so assume is carb setting.
@@PowerRepublic I am confused with the sizes of this carburettor's types. Regarding X30 engine types, they suggest HW-27A Carburettor but this carburettor has 27 mm Venturi and 29 mm throttle diameter, my inlet pipe is 37 mm diameter and i am not sure if it is too small. I am thinking to try the HM-1A which has 42 mm Venturi diameter and mounted with rubber, same as the dellorto or the HB-14A which has a venturi size of 35 mm and throttle 36 mm (the diameters of this one are closer to the existing one that i have)
@@yamahawr450f3 You could get the carb off 175 super X30 that is bigger again. Otherwise just use the dellorto and send it. I have never bothered changing the carbs.
@@yamahawr450f3 that seems a touch large for kart engine, remember that the KZ 125 only uses a 30mm carb for over 10HP more output than the rotax. let me know how it goes
@@PowerRepublic You are right regarding the size. After a draft research, i discover that for this type of carburettors they suggest 2-6 mm smaller sizes compared with float type carburettors. I think i will try the HX12-A as it seems the most suitable. Thank you and i will let you know about the result
In a rule of thumb, colder weather let see 7 degree C comparing to 27 degree C, we need more fuel or less fuel in colder weather?
Is there much difference in performance between the new Tillotson and the original Tryton carburettors?

also too I am pretty sure we have another video on how to service the Tillotson carb of the KA100. same procedures as for the tryton. hope that helps

Could you recommend any power upgrades for the older rl leopard engine
Hi Troy, I haven't had much to do with the RL. Obviously the big up grade is going to the X30 engine package. heaps smoother ride too.

I would use an 'Easitune' lambda sensor to get the tune perfect.

could be leaning out, maybe try opening the LSJ 0.25-0.50 and see if that calms it down
What type tillotson can i use on rotax 125?? Now I'm running whith 36mm dellorto
your could get the one of the X30 125 as a suitable equivalent I suppose, however I haven't tried this myself so it is just a guess.

i have a175 ss with delorto carb.its bellowing blue smoke at an extreme rate ,any suggestions how to remedy this?
Maybe its set to rich on the main jet or float level. otherwise it could have a leaking needle and seat.
@@PowerRepublic its a brand new carb.(dellorto VHSB 36 RD).what size main and idle jets would be optimal for 40F and 50 F degree weather?
