When I worked at the Fire Dept, I knew a guy who would spray the canned furniture polish on the vehicles to “wax” it. Looked good, but didn’t last. Floor wax must hold up a little better I’m sure.
It’s crazy tedious, but the results are worth it. I’ve been working about 2 hours at a time, for 3 days and I’m about 1/3 done. Haha. It’s going to take a while. The wax really finished it off nicely.
Don't invite the professionals. You can easily get into 1000.00 buffers and very expensive pastes as you said. They are time and efficiency motivated. Your result looks pretty darn good.
@@ProjectTrek that's crazy how quick oxidation sets in. I wonder if a good wax will keep the shine lasting longer once you do all the work you just did? I just can't see why someone would want to do that every 6 months. Seems ridiculous.
The are great product suggestions! We definitely have to try these on the bus!
I think you’ll have much better results on full body paint.
Look up the application of glossy floor wax. You'll be glad you did. I know a couple of people that have done it and it turns out amazing.

Never used it myself, but I've read negative posts about floor wax.
That looks like a lot of work. I know, I’ve done that a few times. When you get done with the buffing you need to wax it. Great info.

Thank you for showing us the buffing and waxing project! Looks great!
You’re welcome Stacy. Figured someone might find it helpful.
Do as you please but I recommend roof specific cleaner conditioner.
It is important to wash bottom to top and rinse top to bottom, this prevents streaks.
Great info! Thanks @blackknight

Thanks @WilliamBranham, I was pretty happy with the way it turned out.
So its been 3 years... please tell us how long the luster lasted? Thanks...
Is it safe to use Meguier's Gold Car wash soap on rubber roofs? Or should I use Dawn dish soap?
Your 5th wheel looks great.
Carnauba wax always swirls, less is best, but takes lots of buffing to prevent swirls.
How much did you charge a foot for it? I'm just getting into Rv detailing as well I normally detail boats
Looks awesome! Was one bottle of was enough for the whole trailer?
I ended up need one more bottle.
Looks great to me!👍🏻👏🏻
Thanks Laura!
good informative video
Thanks!
You need to use a 6 inch pad from harbor freight
How long.does this polish/shine last?
My best guess is 4-6 months?

You’re correct, I don’t think the oxidation will show after six, I just think the wax job will wear off to the point it will need redone.
@@ProjectTrek that's what I thought. Thanks
At the end of the day, if you're happy with the results, that's all that matters.
I took an old school bus and made it shine like no
