Thanks for the great install and review anyone installing on of my whine mods can reduce the air induction sound off boost with my damper cover. It’s simply a layer of rubber affixed over the diaphragm cap. I have video explaining that method.
Great video! I actually love the sound going from air intake to boosted whine. Of course the very best of your video is the sharing of the experience of hot rodding with Shelby. Good job, Sir!
Okay thanks for the whine demonstration! I was so confused that I was only hearing it suck air. I guess I need to get Under boost so I can hear it! Need to put the drags on tho😵💫
I had a horrible issue after doing this kit - my idle became very erratic and the car would shut off coming to a stop. I started logging and reviewed and found that the air in the sound tube would blow by the MAF and cause a bunch of very unusual readings, and the car didn't know how to accommodate the turbulent air - it would quickly pull and add spark and fuel over and over, causing the car to go very lean then very rich over and over. Wound up replacing the MAF housing w/ another one I got from Whipple and it resolved the issue completely. I didn't bother try again, because it's not worth the risk. A great idea, but unfortunately locating the sound tube right next to the MAF causes too many issues.
I just ordered my whipple kit for my gen 1 ruby red Mustang, when you ordered it did you get the whipple painted from whipple directly? I’m trying to figure out which paint to get to match the car
Grab a latex glove and cut the tips of the fingers off and add them over the sound tube under the dash one at a time and it’ll calm the air sucking sound down a little. You can also add a cotton ball over it then the glove finger as well. The only issue is it will quiet the whine down some too. But drop a few pulley sizes on the whipple and that will come back 👍🏻🤣
@car mob, I literally had the 100% stage 4 Foster mod whine kit , had it installed and I can barely hear it at 7k. I messaged Sean Foster and he had Me send him pics of install (a shop did it) and he Said the install looks accurate but man it's not what I expected at all. The whine is about 1/4 of what your sounds like, any recommendations? I'm bummed out man, I expected it way louder😔
I’ve never heard of anyone doing that but you could try . In the coming weeks I will be removing the sound tube all together . On 10 lb boost it was cool on 16-18 lbs it’s kinda annoying when just cruising around .
What pulley did you go with? Also, does it need a different size belt? And does it need another tune? I want to up the boost on mine. I'm on 3.875. Stock internals.
I've always been curious about this mod! The entire reason i went with a blower setup was for the whine. But DangerRuss is making me jealous with turbski's.
NoMercyGT lol . It really comes down to what you want . I wanted to keep Ruby’s drivability as close to stock as possible with as much power as possible. That’s why I chose the Whipple. The Whipple can still support 1400 hp and you don’t need a new converter or a two-step to get it on boost at the track. Don’t get me wrong I love turbos I just didn’t want that setup on this 🚘 .
Go Fast Nation thank you sir . I tried to make the video as informative as possible while still trying to keep it somewhat short . Bad ass I’ll check my IG..
Great Question!! I loved it at first but then it got annoying . Hearing the sound of the supercharger under boost is epic but when you drive the car around not in boost you always hear this sucking sound coming from the sound tube and it gets annoying. I sold that car earlier this year & picked up A 2020 Shelby GT500.
Jacob Damouni the car performs the same . The sound tube has a sealed cap so unless it comes unsealed I don’t know how you would have an air leak . In the kit they say to use the supplied grease as it will harden & seal the kit .
Jacob Damouni It’s almost directly across from the Maf sensor . We are tuned by Livernois Motorsports. Give us a sub & follow our journey. We are currently building the long block. We want the world’s fastest s550 convertible.

Great product !! I highly recommend it ..
Awesome! I agree 100% most of these superchargers are quiet. Man I want o hear that sh*t!
Great upload man! Getting good angles and lighting for firewall shots is tough, but you did a good job! Sounds awesome!!
Street Mod Junkiez thank you sir, we’re doing our best .
The best guide on all TH-cam how install Fosterscmods stage 4 step by step help to do it so easy, thanks Mob.
I'm Glad i could help !! THX for supporting the channel , Ruby content will be back soon ...
This mod is great. Love hearing the blower whine
DangerRuss I couldn’t agree more ..
Most SCs are quiet .... the sound tube definitely delivers the sound in the cab ... it’s hard for me to hear mine due to my exhaust and header set up
Determined Veteran they make a kit for storm trooper if you’d like to Enhance the sound of the ZL1..
The Car Mob if it don’t make you go faster I don’t buy it but yeah the stock version of the car is nuts
Extremely helpful video. Probably would't buy the kit without seeing this first.
I wouldn’t recommend it . It sounds cool at first but the sucking sound gets annoying.
Great video! I actually love the sound going from air intake to boosted whine. Of course the very best of your video is the sharing of the experience of hot rodding with Shelby. Good job, Sir!
Thank you sir !! A family that Races together stay’s together. We’re teaching her young ..
Best install video on TH-cam of the Fostermods Wine Mod . 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
You can never have too much whine!! Sounds great! Nice install 👌👍
VogelStang Agreed !! Thx for the support.
Love the supercharger whine 🤤
Stangforlife us to lol 👊🏻.if you like what you see and would like to follow Ruby’s journey plz consider subscribing .
The Car Mob absolutely man. We are all here out of the love or our stangs 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Okay thanks for the whine demonstration! I was so confused that I was only hearing it suck air. I guess I need to get Under boost so I can hear it! Need to put the drags on tho😵💫
Thx for watching, it only sounds good under boost I actually regret putting it on the car.
Are you able to hear the whine from the outside of the car or just inside the cabin?
For now just in the cabin , but we’re upping the boost so that might change .
Sounds amazing! Have always loved the whine and don’t like how gt500 and zl1 don’t have much whine at all. Hellcat on the other is nuts
Red5oh I couldn’t agree more ..

I agree!! I was not too happy with the mod after I installed it. I thought about taking it off the car, but then I sold the car for a Shelby GT500
@@carmob7499 Nice! Enjoy the GT500!
I just ordered my whipple kit for my gen 1 ruby red Mustang, when you ordered it did you get the whipple painted from whipple directly? I’m trying to figure out which paint to get to match the car
Whipple powder coated it that color for me Before they shipped it
@ they didn’t make you choose from prismatic powders?
Nope .
Great video brotha follow step by step and easy to do 30 mins tops any body that’s looking to do this mod is a must to do just follow carmob steps !!!
Sabino Guzman thank you sir !!! We are Glad we could help 🤜🏻🤛🏻
Sounds really good!! Feels on the weather 😅 what’s going on Michigan
That1320Chick thx for the complement 👊🏻. I can’t want to see how this car feels on the track ..

@@CORNYOTE I contacted Fostermods after i filmed the video & that was exactly what they recommended.I appreciate the tip thx for responding ..
Sounds great, you made it look easy!
Is that mod actually sucking air from inside the mustang? Or does it blow air when in boost?
It has a thin plastic cap that goes over the sound tub . So you hear noise but never actually sucking in side the cabin .
@@carmob7499 What happens if the plastic cap break? Like a manifold leak?
Then you would be sucking air from the cabin of the car

The only thing I can think of is maybe the hose is pinched somewhere sorry about your luck man
Thanks for your reply, maybe it will get better with time, good job on your visual instructions! Your car sounds super nice 💪🏼💪🏼
Why not just modify the factory sound tube to fit the whipple intake?
I’ve never heard of anyone doing that but you could try . In the coming weeks I will be removing the sound tube all together . On 10 lb boost it was cool on 16-18 lbs it’s kinda annoying when just cruising around .

Whipple is a twin screw
Yes it Is . THX for watching .
Thats a beautiful car
Beto 5ohh thanks Bro 😎
Do you still like the mod today or is there downsides that make you wish u ever did it

thats funny. I live in michigan as well, and recognize right where your driving!!. 59 and oak grove, i don't live far from there. funny
Lol small world !! Yeah we live in Howell .. thx for watching..
Unfortunately I don't see that they make one for my Odin kit
I would reach out to them . I’m sure they can help you .
you can use the Whipple kit for that one
You can really hear the whine at 16:34
Oh yeah !! Thx for watching!!
What about leaks from your firewall
There is a Rubber gasket that seals the Fire wall .
that sounds great! awesome video!
THX BRO !! the Whipple sounds 10 times better now with the new mod.
That's pretty clever! WHAAAAAA..AAHHHHHH..AAAHHHHHine mod. Sounds good
Street Slayers It definitely gives the whipple some character.
@@carmob7499 definitely
Do not like the sound when not under boost. I would think something is wrong
I have put a latex muffler over it so you no longer hear it unless you’re under boost
Do a video of this latex muffler, I am very interested in getting one of these
It is winter time now . I will have to wait till spring .
Dope!! I love it! Please keep the videos coming!
THX for watching & we appreciate your support .We will be dropping a new video today of Ruby on the dyno after her fresh engine build on low Boost
Been hearing the whine mod fucks with the MAF signal and cause a massive unmeatured air leak? Is this true or car performed the same?
Jacob Damouni the car performs the same . The sound tube has a sealed cap so unless it comes unsealed I don’t know how you would have an air leak . In the kit they say to use the supplied grease as it will harden & seal the kit .
Car Mob yes awesome! Where did u drill? At the MAF, before, or after? And who are you tuned by
Jacob Damouni It’s almost directly across from the Maf sensor . We are tuned by Livernois Motorsports. Give us a sub & follow our journey. We are currently building the long block. We want the world’s fastest s550 convertible.
Car Mob why directly across the maf
Jacob Damouni That’s what the direction said . We measured 3/4 of an inch then drilled the hole .
Nice! I like it!
Thanks Rocky…
🤣
Nothing worse than having the wife call while you were doing a pull
Right lol 🤘
