@ But Mexico tho… You do realize if pumas buys him it’s damn near impossible for him to go back, look at Luis Chavez he had to buy himself out of the club(that’s if Padilla wants to go back to EU.) he’s gonna have a tough time because Ligamx is so damn greedy with money that they will inflate the price on him. Who’s gonna buy an over price GK from Ligamx.!? I get the playing time but was it Worth it to a league that they love to inflate young prospects and trying to sucker them in to say with a high paying job? Is that what he want for the future of our country in this sport.?
@@theneweraofmusic5578 Pumas is the only team that isn't greedy and helps when it comes down to Europe... example chino Huerta and Johan Vásquez sold for cheap and Rubalcaba was loaned option to buy ...even though the last one didn't work out.
@@theneweraofmusic5578pump the brakes my team pumas sells young players to Europe if they wanna go and also gives them minutes. He needs to play he can’t just sit on the bench as third string
I think it’s fine because he’s a 3rd string keeper, it sounds like there wasn’t more options in Europe. So at the very least Padilla gets minutes as a starter. It’s a loan so there’s still a chance Bilbao could receive him back. Pumas is also a club that does sell players, certainly possible to return to Europe (plus European passport like Jack said). Now the liga mx casuals will know who he is. We could see him return in a few seasons
A good transfer loan for Pumas imo because Julio Gonzalez everytime looks so nervous bro, so i think Padilla could do really well im Liga Mx and finally get the minutes he definetly deserved
I know people are gonna be frustrated that another Mexican returns to Mexico but tbf Pumas is one of the few clubs who develops youth properly and when there’s offers from Europe they never stand in the way for a player leave such as Chino , Johan Vasquez , Ruvalcaba recently
I think it's a smart move. From what I hear it's a loan deal with the option to buy. Just like you mentioned in the video Padilla wasn't going to play much which basically makes him a inactive goalkeeper. The training development would be good for him if he stayed in Bilbao but that won't prepare him for live matches. Training camps vs real live games are completely different. Players need to feel that pressure and that anxiety that a real match brings. The fact that he's going on a loan and he's going to take over as the lead ensures he gets majority of the minutes which will prepare him better than just being a training goalkeeper. If he's bought by pumas I wouldn't say that's a complete L because as long as he is getting minutes that will keep recruiters watching his development.
I can only hope that Padilla goes back to Europe after he’s done being on loan. He has so much potential and as much as having him in my team would be really nice, I know he deserves better
@brandonb3174 what matters is performance pumas does not really have a good defense and losing their best player is going to hurt them imo they wont make the repechaje
@@Dtx_gioo21348 yea the team uses a line of 5 for defense but the roster is constructed in an awful way where they don’t have the right players for that system. but Pumas betting on a 21 year old with only 4 games in first division to be their starting goalkeeper is not the smartest move.
im a pumas fan, the contract is a 1 year loan with an option to buy, honestly if there was any team in liga mx for him to go to, it is pumas, simply because were the only team that is realistic with mexican players in the transfer market, a great example is chino huerta many people dont know that monterey wanted to offer $15,000,000 for chino, but pumas declined the offer because he made it clear he wanted to go to europe, same thing with johan vasquez, $ 11,000,000 offer from tigres and they said no because he wanted europe, ruvalcaba same thing {although that didnt work out}, point being that pumas is hands down the best option for padilla even if we buy him, he still has the best platform in mexico to go back to europe.
I’m always with our players should be in Europe ALWAYS, but I think Padilla move makes sense He gets playing time, gets playing time with the NT (most likely the molero-est of moleros) and he’s at a club that is more than willing to accommodate you and give you that pass to Europe you want with NO THREATS to freeze you with the youth team if you don’t resign. Give it a year or 2 and he can make a move to a small club in Europe at 23/24 with a decade-plus of career left Plus, something that I think is underrated by fans, but he’s probably about to make the most amount of money he’s ever made in Liga MX, so good for him to reassure his own financial security for the short-term
Good for Pumas, but bad news for la selección. México willnnever get better as a team if the Liga MX clubs focus on bringing back Mexicans to the Liga MX.
I agree that this is a short term W, and wether its a long term L or not depends on where he goes after the loan is done.
There goes our future GK
The only reason he accepted to come to Pumas is it will give him more exposure to be on the national team roster

Tbh tapia is my fav rn i really want him to go to Europe i hope he doesn’t give up
7:12 y’all remember Sebastian Jurado. He was supposed to be our next big goalkeeper
Bro i swear, mexico could never have good players in Europe without them coming back from Europe 😭
Europe is a different level.
It's a loan and he was a 3rd string golie. It's a W anyway you look at it
He’s never started his career in Mexico though with makes this worse imo. He’s like Marcelo Flores going from Europe to Mexico smh
Cesar Huerta being sent to Europe is a good sign for Padilla and is the biggest silver lining for him returning.

González has always been unpredictable in what he’s gonna do and has never been a guarantee to keep a clean sheet
Bruh we turned a European into Mexican and he immediately decided to become mid

yup!
Atleast my team now has good goalkeeper
Potentially, he still has room to grow

Padilla switching from San mames to the Olímpico Universitario is a change of scenery if I say so myself

And I know you don’t talk about liga Mx generally about the league , Plus, what happened to Julio Gonzalez?
Massive L for us and for him, why would you give up your only advantage over the other gks?
Hope he doesn’t end up like david ochoa who was about to move from mls to europe but decided to move to liga mx and he ended up retiring at 21
The difference is that Alex Padilla was formed in Spain so he’s imprinted with a European mentality to deal with adversity.

My brother in Christ what is that pronunciation of the name David
Europe isn't for everybody. Alex Padilla will get the game time if he were to move to Pumas. In my opinion I think it's a good move for him.
mexican through and through
this is ur fault
L move
L Mexico 🇲🇽 🥲
I hope it's a growing connection to Europe for Pumas
Aw hell no we are cooked, from European team to Pumas loan 💀
Can Liga MX not ruin an upcoming Mexican talent for 5 seconds?!
He was a 3rd string golie. Not much to ruin there
@ straight to Liga MX bench yes it is
@yourheroes5874 he's not going to be on the bench?
@ clearly you dont know Liga MX
2:39 Your to funny bro😂😂😂
It’s only a loan
