@@maintenancemadeonabudget what coolant do you use? I’m new to the diesel world- bought an 03 and I’ve seen a lot of info on the web. I’ve seen zerex G03 is a good one to use
Your coolant should be purple. You're using the wrong coolant. I have over 50k miles 3 years on my current water pump. No signs of it going anytime soon.
The brand used in this video is correct and directly cross referenced from mopar recommended brand to what i have availableto purchase. It's really about freeze point and anti corrosion for diesels good luck with purple.
@Red-qw1kk Doesnt have to be purple. I've read on bunch of forums that coolant has to be Phosphate free which is highly important and cheapest you can find is Valvoline Zerex G05. I'm about to flush/change coolant, but before that I'll use CRC Thermocure Coolant rust remover as I bought the truck with poorly maintained engine. (2006 model with 30k miles)
Man i wish insaw this yesterday. I just bought the same pump from auto zone 😂

@@Red-qw1kk Do not use G30. Coolant should be Phosphate free for 5.9 cummins. Zerex G05 is oem.

What brand is purple? I’ve never seen purple antifreeze up here and I’ve been putting zerex in as well
