Gordon Goodwin's "Absoludicrous" is a totally hip and fun chart played at 120 BPM. The electric piano will sound great on the funky piano introduction. Written solos are provided for alto / bari, tenor, trumpet, and trombone. The lead trumpet range is up to written high C. Auxiliary percussion, flute, and vibes part provided. A hit for any show! @@EwanWeetch 💯💯😂😂
Don't joke about that😠
Gonna cry?
@@bobo5134 woahhh relax there lol
seeing that a treble note can dip into base clef feels like hidden lore
Fax
then realising that its a dual bass clef piano
When I grow up I want to be able to play that bass line (and I'm only 70 !). Fantastic arrangement, great groove, nice playing !
Lord please forgive me for my synths
this bass line has drained me of life
it's all ive foccused on for a week
so much fun to play
yah im playing 2 years ahead so this song is easily 100 rating out of my skill level... i only play combo base so big band isn't too easy for me either...
What's the difference?
Usually with combo bass you can just go off chords, but big band songs with a prominent bass part like this basically require you to play what's written
My hand will never be the same after this piano part
Rhythm section, unite!
I played piano for Avenue Swing but yeah!
Such a fun chart to play
Love this song.
Who doesn't lmao

to anyone who discovers this it’s so i can refer to the background figures when writing out my solo 😭
when music gives you the goosebumps, you know its a good piece and thats exactly what this song did to me
I really want to hear Snarky Puppy play this
Max Behymer true that
hell yeah
It would be orgasmic to the ears
Gotta love funk. Or just Gordon Goodwin in general
Both 💪
gordon goodwin doesn't miss! 🔥
Absolute fax

Man, This. Is. Fonky.
That Fonky Chonk
With that splish splash
If something is funky, then that means it’s fun and in key
That Fonky 🚢🚢🚢
Me encanta esta página , saludos a todos los músicos que queremos dar un pasito más y seguir creciendo
Its lit
Hella lit 🔥
Ayy...Gordon Goodwin wrote this for my school!!!
@Anton Shelton haha yo
that bass 0_o
Keep it groovy
Hey it's me, Jay. Caleb and Brandon on the same team!
Leaving my role of Trumpet 1 so I can be 2 or 3 so I can actually play something
Solo backings from 3:00 bring me great happiness
I wanna know who is playing drums cos his 4,2,2 s are crazy
Tife S I think it's a computer
Tife S This sounds a lot like Goodwin's own Big Phat Band playing the chart. It's far too precise and musical to be computer generated
Tife S Bernie Dressel plays drums for the Big Phat Band
I would argue a grade 4, but meh. Love playing it!!
Bass is grade 7 but just cos it’s relentless as hell. One of best socres I’ve played
can someone find me? I just got lost in the fonky chonks
ok thx
"The lead trumpet range is up to written high " It goes up to a D
I'd say the lead trumpet part is written perfectly for this song.
It's perfectly in range. tf?
I play like 2 years and can hit it sooo.. I mean its grade 4 what do they expect
@@TutorialsByBrazzornot even... 3 1/2
I couldn’t even tell you how drained I was after doing this.
Johnny was here
Gordon really hating on the trombone section for this one 🙁
Especially the Bass Trombone. The Bass Bone part was good for Hit the Bricks and Raphsody in Blue.
I'm playing this for my school band. I'm the guitarist.
I’m not playing it for my school band but I’ve learnt it. Good to see other guitarists in the wild 😂
can’t wait to play it for my regional
AUAAAAWWYYAAAAA Jay Mason oand that beri though
ayyyy
Reminds me of T.o.p. Adjacent
Hello Gordon, I wolud like to know how much cost a bigband Score? Thanks
Eric Urdaneta Most band pieces cost around 50-70 dollars, and this one costs 52 dollars. Other hits like The Jazz Police can be bought at sheet music sites like j.w. pepper for around 60 dollars
1:50 (so i can hear the backgrounds)

i gotta play the vibes part. lord help me
🎃
badabababdababa ababababababa a
the pianists 16th notes are not even
This mix is pretty terrible, rhythm is very loud and trombones are practical inaudible
rhythm (namely drums), trumpet 1, bari, and occasionally alto 1 are too loud. i can only hear trombone 1 at certain parts, i only hear trombone 2 ONCE, and trombones 3 and 4 are COMPLETELY inaudible. bad mix, great chart. it should be re-recorded
