Here's another way, it's tedious and boring, but it's a guaranteed profit making method. Place buy orders for all high level exotic armor and weapons on TP that are currently selling for less than the value of the globs (+TP tax and salvage cost). There are hundreds of such items. The only problem is many other people do this too, so to maximize profits, you should keep checking which BO have been outbid and replace them. Rinse and repeat. Tons of gold per hour. No risk.

I was doing this to get ectos for t1 Obsidian armour but crafting the krait weapons instead since they only take mithril and bones/scales/fangs etc and then go with whichever was cheapest. I stumbled on this only 2-3 weeks ago as I was crafting them for provisioner tokens and accidentally salvaged them with the silver-fed and got more ectos than actual items.,

The Carrion Gladiator Helm from the video bumped up from 22s to 37s, but that's still well below that 53 mark. It is dangerous territory for mindless salvaging, though. I will be compiling a spreadsheet, maybe tomorrow on stream already, with a full list and their minimal costs, though.
@@phandrel It was my mistake, I put 1 (unit) to craft in gw2efficiency and it showed more than it should cause u end up having leftover mats if u wanted to craft a single unit.
