I guess it was too much trouble for Anderson to etch the series # on the window

I have none of these! My house was built in ‘56 and has double hung windows with two hand/lift assist notches in the sash, above which is a thumb operated lever which unlocks the window and allows it to stay at whichever position in the frame you release the thumb lever. I know they are Anderson windows because when I remove them from the frame, the aluminum locking assembly in the side of the sash (only visible once removed) says Andersen Corp. Bayport, Minn.

Does Andersen still make a window similar to their early 80's windows -- flush to the interior wall with a screen flush to the exterior wall and more space in between the window and the screen than is common nowadays?

Do not call Anderson they quoted me a price over the phone for trapezoid windows at $3,000 a piece and $15 to $20,000 on two patio doors before they even came out no way dude
