You know what I love about the Virtua Figher 3 intro? I love how it's JUST a combo video. And the fact that the music coupled with it is awesome.

This video’s hilarious, but there’s one thing this game was instantly famous for and it’s unfortunate that the DreamCast version wasn’t great in this regard. Graphics. The arcade version was the first to push 1 million polygons a second and if you read Next Generation’s article on it from then, it was jaw dropping. The Dreamcast version was pushing about 400,000 or so. It’s noticeable because the arcade version still holds up well and in some cases rivals elements of Soul Calibur on the Dreamcast. The arcade version held the title even against PC games at the time, which, along with Scud Racing, it surpassed at a great level for nearly 2-3 years easily.
That being said, I laughed so hard at the comments about Sarah’s hair in this game, plus the sexy Kage part. I died inside. I was a kid when this came out, but an artist and so his design was so embarrassing to see, but this video is amazing. Thank you for this.
If you can, play this game on the latest version version of the Sega Supermodel Emulator, it looks stunning. I’m also happy you mentioned high level play in Virtua Fighter, it’s true, it’s incredible.
I really love this game, I miss the different elevated terrains they had on this game. Now everything is a flat surface. No matter though I still love all the VF games
Yeah there's a reason they dropped it; same with Tekken 4's stages; the FGC scoffed at them since they would 'make' you miss your target at times if you were standing too high from them due to the elevated background. But what the devs should have done in the sequels instead of dropping the stages, is improve on the animations so that your punches and kicks would still target your opponent regardless of if you were elevated or not. But that would take work so....
Ok. I know this opinion isn't popular. But this is by far my favorite Virtua Fighter. Personally, I think it plays well even to this day. I could talk for quite some time about everything I like in this game, but I really love this game.
Me and a few friends played this a lot back in the day, this was really the height of Virtua Fighter playing for me I love it a lot as well it would be nice if they ever made a version of this you could play online with other people haha my team- Lion,Pai, Taka ;) and I can sometimes swap in a little Kage, Jeffery or Shun
It's my favorite too but the Dreamcast version sucks the model 3 version looks great!

This is the Dreamcast port from 1998 it was made in 6 months of course it's gonna look terrible!
The Original Model3 versions from 1996 and 1997 looks amazing.

Lol this was such a huge downgrade from VF2
Is it tho? VF3tb is actually the first VF game to be actually balanced.
VF2 is a broken mess in terms of balacing not to mention it has some annoying and weird stuff like overpowered low punch and all throws except neutral are inescapable, inputs are very strict due to the lack of fuzzy inputs, lack of consistency for throw inputs instead of all highs being G+P + a direction and lows being G+P+K.
VF3tb clearly is a much better designed game than 2 yeah people complain about uneven stages but at least 3 doesn't have 0 to death combos like VF2.
VF2 still is fun despite all of its flaws, one thing going for VF2 is its very strong and consistent presentation.
But i feel like saying 3 is a downgrade from 2 is a little insane, we all have our favorites mine is (Model 3 VF3tb: I like the visuals and i find the gameplay to be quite balanced and fun)
But i think the absolute peak of competitive VF is VF4 Final Tuned which is probably the most refined VF game in terms of gameplay and balance.

If it sucks why it's the competitive scene of this game more active than VF4? Virtua fighter 3tb is a great game at least the arcade version, the Dreamcast port sucks.
@@thesch2867 Except both versions look and perform identically , so it's pretty foolish that either sucks.
@@vidk1dd96 The Dreamcast version looks worse but the only real gameplay issue is that it strangely doesn’t let you use the Dreamcast controller’s actual joystick.
