It seemed like yesterday, in the early 80s in the LA punk scene, I was WAY into The Germs, my sister with a flowing mohawk, said..."Check these guys" the RHCP...I was like, meh...got a funky vibe, kind of like Gang of Four. Maybe they'll be good. Then I saw them live in 91, with The Cramps in SF, and it was hype. I had a great time. Awesome time to be young.
I remember The Cramps and Gang Of Four. Those were the best days of music since the early days of Rock And Roll and the seventies ushered in heavy metal.
I never cease to be blown away be these guys. Their genius, dedication, and artistry continues to astound me.

I love these guys. Kiedis comes out swinging saying it’s appropriate to be on 60 minutes when he’s about to hit 60 - hilarious, yet so true! They are like musical athletes. I play guitar, and it’s much more physical than people would think. I hope to see these guys live someday.
I only learned about Kleides's time with that 16 year old less than a month ago. Kinda crazy that he can talk about it in a book and get sort of a free pass while everyone else gets barred.

It is popular for a certain segment of critics and music lovers to Sh*t on The Chili Peppers but these guys still have the most recognizable sound and absolute staying power. Every time you think their music is in decline you hear the a "latest" Peppers song that pretty much blows you away.
For the record, CHAD SMITH is older than WILL FERRELL. Therefore, Will Ferrell looks like Chad Smith. And can we please move away from this comparison forever now. Thanks!😊
