You are letting go of some beautiful pieces! I am a mom too I would say keep your jewlery your kids will get older and then these pieces will cost so much money to replace! You will be able to wear them again and enjoy! Keep them in your bank safe :) you can always decide to sell in 10 yrs and you will still find buyers

I agree! She might change her mind again once her kids are grown up and that cartier would’ve gone up x10 in price.

As a mom to a toddler, I would consider hanging on to some of these items, your kids won't be young forever, and in a few years you may find yourself reaching for these items again as some of them seem to be staples. I get the urge to declutter, but maybe put them away high up on a storage closet for a few years :)

I went through the same situation when I became a mom. I ended up giving away my my lv carry all 55 to a family member and now I live with regret! I thought I was over certain luxuries, and at the time I was but now that my baby is 2 I’m back to my old roots. I say, think about it before making the final decision to sell. 🤗

I think mulberry bag opening is much easier than a Kelly or birkin. The underlying reason I feel to let all these bags go is once someone has Hermes in their collection they have kind of hit the plateau, lifestyle spacing is just to justify overselves. And pls do not sell ur luxury jewelry u can always pass it down. And ul end up losing a lot of money as well.

Hi Isabelle, I really love this kind of content because you can learn from other people’s experiences to see if the item is suitable for you. Because not everyone has the ability to try all the goodies.
For me, I find it hard to resale the contemporary bags because they just don’t sell.
And I learned that once I want to put anything in my collection, I need to think very carefully.

When my baby was exactly 6 months old too i went on a decluttering frenzy. Babies, takes quite a bit of space. One of the things i regret doing was selling my First LV bag i was just so into getting rid of things without thinking it thoroughly. For me i think you should keep the cartier bracelet. It doesn’t takes so much space but also you can pass it down easily to your children one day. The prices will only increase. But again, this is your journey ☺️

I wouldnt sell the bracelet. I have the cartier love too and took it off when my babies were little. But now that they are all toddlers i love mine again. Plus the resell value of this is not much. Keep it :) the price increase on this bracelet is getting high.

I decluttered some brand new tops that I didn’t really love a while back but kept them in a bag for a while before I gave them away. Then when I looked at them again I had totally changed my mind and I’ve been wearing them a lot lately. I think it can be helpful to have a transition declutter for the really nice things then if you still decide to part with them in a few months you’ll feel more certain. Anything truly valuable though would be great to keep aside for your daughter’s 21st etc.

    • @Staryglitz
      @Staryglitz 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Yes I think the same too since it's a classic piece and the price will still keep going up. It's made of real gold and would not tarnish thus you can always keep it and wear it next time. Please do consider to keep it.

I completely understand your sentiments on the Love bracelet! It is exactly what is holding me back buying it. I just don't like the thought of having something on my wrist at all times.
I'm looking at the Hermès Kelly bracelet at the moment, because you can take it off and I actually like the look more than the Love bracelet - maybe that is something you also want to look into in the future ❤

I agree letting go things not practical, taking too much space or out of style, but true classic pieces should reconsider keeping. Future value is always there + imagine one day daughter finds out she could have inherited something really special from mommy! Lol 🥲😆😑

I get where you coming from. I also did a purge when I became a mom and haven’t regretted it. I also did the big tote for baby thing and a smaller crossbody for my essentials and the bags that worked for this were the longchamp le pliage XS crossbody, proenza schouler ps1 tiny(very similar to Alexa but opening is less fussy and the ps1 tiny has an external pocket in the back).

I totally agree with worrying about scratching the baby/kids with the jewellery. I had same concern with those bags with rigid edges. I also have problem wearing those really thin bracelets and necklaces as they just like to grab them a lot. 😅 also rarely wear rings as I use hand sanitizer a lot…

I had similar issues with the love bracelet. Try the VCA sweet clove or signature bracelet. Or the Cartier clash. VCA size small (16) and Cartie clash 15 are all right in between the love size 16 and 17 so fit my wrist so much better - and all can be taken on and off with ease!

I think that unless you have a jewelry item you want to replace the love bracelet with you should just hold on to it. The price of gold is going up continuously and it’s hard to even get a solid piece like the love bracelet. I know a lot of people that love them once their kids are older and who knows the price of it then. I feel like the channel classic flaps, your Hermes quota bags, and jewelry are more of generational pieces

Keep your Cartier unless you no longer like the style. You will enjoy it later. I have 2 teenagers now, kept my Cartier, curated down to 2 bracelets Juc and CDC, while I also like to have bare arms and fingers for most days, I love the bracelets whenever I wear them. I find myself a minimalist and honestly, on most days, I just wear my fancy watch and no bracelets, rings.
