Funny that the Neo XS is a downsize for you because I just tried to use my new one today and moved my stuff from my everyday bag but my things are just jiggling in it too much and the bag slouches a lot. Too much space for me so I’ll just use it as my travel bag which is why I got it anyway since I needed small bag that still fits my camera.
I came across your video while researching other Longchamp bags and had to add my two cents about that strap. Yes, it's horrible. It really surprised me when I bought the bag because I had only seen it online before purchase - so stiff, uncomfortable, almost sharp on the edges. I also immediately replaced it with a canvas strap I had that matched. The little flap was never a problem, but that strap!
I have 3 small Le Pliage Shoulderbags and the flap is annoying. I love the bags for daily errands and bad weather. I wish I could find a dupe without the flap because I’d get it 🥳 thanks for sharing and Happy Easter 🌅
Oh my gosh wouldn’t that be a dream?! The nylon is so soft and durable though. Nothing compared for the price and agree with you, great beater bad weather bags! TFW and happy Easter to you too!!

I am so happy I found this video. The reason why I have not gotten a longchamp le pliage is because of the snap closure on top of the zipper. If the snap was instead magnetic, I would buy it. But snap buttons on an every day carry bag is not for me. I like to be able to get in and out of my handbags haha. Love your videos!

I don't understand the new Energy line. Why the undetachable strap? With the handheld versions, that strap doesn't even hang properly when not on the shoulder - returned due to this and I had to go to ebay to get a new Neo. I've owned the Le Pliage line for 25+ years (still have about 8 bags from then) and only just getting back into them. And yes, that annoying flap put me off them for many years. New subscriber!

I do understand why some people can think the snap closure is a pain. However, I actually appreciate it for security reasons. I was travelling with someone some time ago who was pickpocketed from their zip-top bag. He didn't feel anything and I didn't see anything. They were a pair of guys working together. Since then, I've realized that this snap closure takes some maneuvering to open (especially for a pickpocket) that you cannot ignore. You feel that snap open and are alerted immediately. So, it is indeed an extra step, but as I use this bag when traveling or running errands, and usually when I'm not sure if there will be somewhere to put my bag if I have to take it off, then I'm grateful for the added security. It's the perfect grab-and-go bag. All of my other Longchamp bags are Neos, and I also miss that line. But, the new Energy line has a very different feel to the fabric, a 'richer' kind of feel. I love that and I have just ordered a second one in the gorgeous brown colour. I ordered the versions without a strap because those straps are never long enough for me. I also got a conversion kit from Amazon (wings version, not grommets), so that I can switch it between the two bags without harming either one of them. For me, it's an almost perfect scenario. The LV Speedy Bandoulieres and Keepalls come with those same stiff, thin straps that are not my favorites. I usually use a different strap-a wider one.

I think all bags have this thing or other that we'd like to change. Zippers, snaps, straps, you name it are always a pain for this reason or the other. Mostly, I leave my bags open unless I am travelling. My large pink Mulberry gets heavy sometimes, but I adore it, so I would never get rid of it. I cannot live w/o organizers Julie! When you said about throwing everything into a pit I thought that’s me.😂😂😂 I’ve been using my Neverful for that very reason. I don’t fill it so it’s still lightweight but I just throw things in without organizing. I keep saying I’ll change into another bag but I’ve just been lazy and am enjoying this bag so much.😂🥰

I had the Longchamp extra small and although it was soooo cute I couldn’t make it work for me. Getting my wallet out at the register and putting it back in is a huge hassle. Trying to shuffle everything inside was a pain. The opening annoying. The fit was too tight. So I had to let it go.

Bonjour 😘 this video was just great! Yes exactly the strap on this bag is a difficulty. I wear mine most of the time by the handles and so I do not use it. Concerning the push button, also most of the time I just zip my bag 😆 but this tiny bag is just sooooo cute and fits sooo much , that's why we love it 🥰 I have also a bag from Longchamp which is a cute one however the middle section in it bothers me,, because you lose space to my mind. I can’t believe they discontinued the neo collection. I actually called them up in Paris a few years ago to tell them to get with it seriously. Why do they not have more than one pocket? And why they still don’t have a zippered pocket?? Don’t they get it that everyone has stuff that they want to secure like expensive cell phones, car and home keys etc,,,

Even their shoulder strap was not adjustable I’m the first neos. And a tight fit when trying to wear them crossbody. The strap was not long enough.
