  • SKDC's project to raise the street standard in the district.
Here is a short video to highlight how the campaign is tackling litter, weeds, fly-tipping, graffiti, broken bins and road signs to spruce up neighbourhoods in our towns and villages.

It's always great to see people taking pride in their streets / blocks / neighbourhoods / towns / cities and working together with local councils to keep them clean, neat and tidy - it really does enhance the quality of life of residents and help local small businesses (the backbone of all prosperous communities). Well done. Plants grow where water collects so perhaps planting a roadside garden with non-allergy causing plants where a lot of weeds tend to grow might be better. This will also add some colour to otherwise dreary streets. I've seen a TED talk where some towns in the UK are planting edible plants (those that produce fruit) around town for everybody to enjoy.

Would be nice if my local council did things like this but they don’t give a manure cart.

Social studies people called this the Broken Window syndrome. As it is easier to let things go when you feel like it it is overwhelming or no one else is trying so why should you try to keep up your neighborhood or your home

To be quiet honest with you, I think all towns should do the same I live in a area the times I've seen people dropping their s%#t on the floor really gets me wound up, I've been taught to put your litter in the bin, was growing up in a era where you would always see ..
    get Britain tidy....
I stuck to it like glue all these years
It be nice if everyone did the same.
But well done to you guys for keeping your town nice and clean.

Most councils have a seasonal agenda when it comes to the maintenance and upkeep of their ward areas
The local authorities have priority areas in accordance with current public health legislation's
Local business owners and community group will check with their authorities and new post lockdown
    Agenda's
Plus the fact that partnership agencies have taken into consideration of local authority approved depot
I share this because I help with local environment concerns I mentioned a few problems at the annual AGM
It makes me sick to think that have no disregard for their environment 🤗😵😵🤗
