    Swifty, Ryan Poles needs to be held accountable for his horrific construction of this line. 3 years of off-season, cash, draft capital… and this? Stop.
    Poles has failed miserably with the OL. There is no denying it.

    In his presser, Caleb was asked if he could have changed the blocking scheme on the Latu strip sack. He mentioned that there was only 10 seconds left on the play clock when they broke the huddle and he didn't have enough time to make the audible. Wonder if Waldron took too much time with the play call.

    I'm confident in Caleb Williams even with Chris Morgan's line in front of him. He was sacked too many times for my liking but he did set a rookie passing record with his totals. He got his first two TD passes today! There were a couple of bad calls by the refs. That one call when they took the ball out of Richardson's hand when he was allegedly stopped was bad. There was no whistle and that should have been Bears ball. I fired those guys right then. lol!

    Swifty, There's an album by REO Speedwagon called, "You can tune a piano 🎹, but you can't tune a fish 🐟." That's how the Bears organization are. You can tune up by getting so many QBs, but the system is still the same. It's all about the Bears ownership. How bad do this Bears ownership wants to win. You find me an owner that has great value of heart and I will show you how to be a heart of a champion. The Bears doesn't have it. If I'm President Warren, I would bring both Poles and Flus to the office and ask myself if you want to win bad, then show me or else you show yourself out because this is the same song and dance and it's all about winning formula production. Change ownership, Change front office to get this team in core or else this team could be folded like the White Sox in baseball ⚾.

    • @skeletor9121
      @skeletor9121 2 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +2

      @@skeletor9121 I agree because time and time again the same ownership talks about back in the day when this Bears player was this and that and I get it, but not everyone will follow that winning dated lifestyle. It's like getting a home, The inside of the house is dated and you need upgrade modern feel to the home. That's what this Bears organization needs is a upgrade of modern ownership, Not the dated ownership we already have in the McCaskeys. Leave political situation out, This is football, not political government. It's time that the McCaskeys should sell the team or otherwise with that attitude they got in wanting to win in a dated feel, You will never have that moment. Cubs, Blackhawks and hopefully the Bulls changing modern ways of winning, So can the Bears. Bear 🐻 Down.

    Dude threw the ball 52 times. Stop with the yards thrown, the bears only scored 16 points. I am all for CW18 and agree he is a rookie that requires time. I also believe the bears over the long run will be better for the CW18 acclimation to the NFL. I just do not believe you have to denigrate JF2 to justify CW18 early issues. Poles made his choice; CW18 might be our franchise qb. I also believe JF2 will be Pittsburgh’s franchise qb for the low price of 4th round pick.

    I think you and I both agreed that if they had fixed the line, they could have won with Fields...My main worry was that if we didn't fix the line, then it wasn't going to matter who the QB is, they were going to struggle (so far, that's proving to be accurate). A lot of folks seemed to think it was just the QB. I think Caleb has the higher ceiling, I'm just worried we're going to ruin yet another QB with no protection and bad coaching...Trying to give this team until week 5 or 6 before I really panic, but man, we're halfway there now, and it's not looking good. The middle of our line is a huge liability...We absolutely can't skip finding a center next offseason...and once again (I've said this the last 2 years now btw), we need to sign a serviceable vet at center and we need to draft a center no later than the 3rd round in the draft...It needs to be someone who has starter potential in his rookie season, but who can also take some time to learn from the vet for the first few games at least. Just my two cents. You and I are usually on the same page...the coaching is an issue for sure and I have no idea what to do about that because, well, firing Flus takes us into yet another bad habit this team has...so...*sigh*

      I agree. Swift should be the number 3 running back behind Khalil Herbert and Roschon Johnson. Swift rarely gets any yards after being hit for the first time unlike David Montgomery last year. Ryan Poles usually makes good decisions but not on paying Swift 8 million a year and the Lions paying 6 million a year for David Montgomery who gets many yards after the first hit. A non existent running game is hurting the Bears the most and making it very difficult for Caleb and for good play calling. The Bears run game was so much better with David Montgomery last year. Now we have a huge problem.

    Did I see Deondre Carter being asked to block a D lineman when we were trying to score from the 1 or 2 yard line? What the heck was that about?? He is a tiny receiver being asked to block people that are twice his size at least! Cole Kmet missed another block today. One day, I fear that someone will seriously injure Caleb Williams if we don't start blocking for him. Just imagine what this kid could do if we could pass block and run block even to an average degree. You would think we would learn from the past 10 years- we need to start with the O line, not get another RB (especially when Swift has been terrible). We could have used the money we used on Swift to get more O line help. You guys probably know more about football but that's my humble opinion and my observations. :)

    Caleb is obviously going to be awesome. He was NOT the problem, either in this game or the last. The biggest problem last week was the OL. The biggest problem I saw today was the Defense and their inability to shut down Taylor's big runs. And being overpowered in the red zone for 6 was deplorable and humiliating.
    We've got some work to do on both sides of the ball, it's obvious. But today, we saw some major improvements in game plan, where Kmet, Odunze, DJ Moore, and Johnson, ALL had great days.
    After watching the highlights, it's clear we're going through some growing pains but we're competitive and the potential is there. That 1st half witnessed missed points that 'should' have been easy, with a little bit better execution. Instead, we came up with nada...which was weird.

    I'm glad Justin is getting a chance with the Steelers but I haven't seen him do anything that shows growth, he's not lighting up the game with his passing, hopefully as he gets time that continues to develop, otherwise the Steelers or whomever Justin is QB'n for will be limited. They are 3-0 right now, but what happens when they get behind and they have to rely on his arm? We'll see. This is Calebs 3rd game and it's just going to take some time. People had 3 years of Fields and wanted to give him another year... I think we can give Caleb a bit more than 3 games. The idea that this team was going to gel right away and the Bears were headed for the playoffs this year or win the division wasn't realistic and should never have been taken seriously. This year is a win if Caleb shows he is our Franchise QB. The W/L record is more important to the coaching staff.

    My issue with Waldron is about personnel and scheme. Not his strategy for developing the qb. Someone needs to let him know that the season has started and it’s time to snap out of it. He’s stuck in a trance.

I witnessed a kid almost single handedly break the rushing record by a QB ... Get hit countless time get up and kept coming at the opps ... Throwing dimes ...

    I admit I overreacted last week. I can handle this loss because I do agree with letting Caleb pass 40/50 times a game. As long as he's not getting killed. Just hope Waldron makes protecting him a priority. Flues is not a HC. To many bone head moves. Definitely should have won this one. Swift should be RB3.

    How it Swifts fault? His O line is the trash. He needs interior blocking. The biggest problem with the offense is going to to continue to be the O-line. They can't protect Caleb and the can't create holes for the running game. I'm confused how people can't seem to understand this.

    • @SwiftSportsNetwork
      @SwiftSportsNetwork  3 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Has to be more decisive and hit holes quicker. NOt entirely his fault, but he hasn't helped much either.

      Agree with Swifty here. D’Andre Swift is completely lost. It’s not entirely his fault, but the Bears are better off running with Herbert because he knows what the bad O line can do.

      This same o-line led the 2nd best rushing attack last year. Could it be the rookie QB that has never taken snaps from under center and is learning all the footwork that goes with it on the fly in an NFL game? It's why they just keep running that stupid iso play right up the middle.

      Thats definitely not how I see it. I see it as a quarterback who ran for his life. It certainly wasn't because of our running backs (until) maybe the last quarter of the past season. I line wasn't doing much.
      Furthermore, why wasn't Swift as trash on his previous teams? There's a reason we grabbed this guy. All of a sudden he's subpar? No... He had better run support on those teams... They need a more consistent, competent, and reliably healthy O line.

    Roshon is the best rb for this o-line and should be rb1. If you look at Swift’s career success he always played his best with top tier offensive lines like Philly and Detroit that allowed him to do all the spins and cuts he likes doing so much. This line is nowhere near that level hence why he can’t get going. Fields masked a lot of issues with this line and the o-line coach but now it’s being exposed in the worst way. The personnel is lacking and it shows, the effort is not up to par and it shows, and havin a mobile qb helped this line a lot.
    With all that being said Roshon gives you the yards that you need to operate this offense. 5-8 yards on first and second down is all you need to get this thing going with the talent we have on this team.
    I like Waldron’s decision to put the ball in Caleb’s hands down the stretch. This is a bad passing defense and we exploited that. Gerald Everette does nothing for us, can’t block, can’t separate, can’t catch when we need him to. DJ Moore should get more reps in the slot.
    Like you said, we left 14 points on the board. And gave the ball right back to Indy after an interception which led to our defense getting scored on. This 2nd half TD’s were caused by offensive turnovers. And it was turnovers literally right after the defense just got off the field, so they were gassed.
    All in all this loss exposes the issues on this team, and Flus get your shit together.

    Swift I respect you more than any other reporter on the Bears definitely in my top 3 but the take on Caleb is off. He needs to understand this is not college and I think we may have missed on this one, popes saw the wow plays but it doesn’t translate. Also teams don’t have to account for Caleb as a running threat on every play we know he wants to stay in the pocket but with Justin you have to keep an eye at all times and he can throw the ball so I truly believe we missed on this one and to pay Justin 25 M is worth it because Caleb will cost us more in the long run

    Fields is getting professional level NFL coaching now - something he never received while with the Bears. Yes, the Steelers are better coached, make fewer mistakes..and in inviting environment for someone as gifted as Fields who will only get better and better. He will, most probably, taste the playoffs this season which is something Caleb will have to wait for.
    Remember the media hype rally that said what a great environment Caleb was going to because the Bears won 5 of their last seven....Let's be realistic, the Bears organization is "putrid" at this time.

He should KNOW how to use timeouts and challenge plays and he DAMN SURE should know when his kicker is out of his range.SHANE WALDRON has 19 years of coaching experience. He should KNOW that the bullshit he called on 4th and 1 wouldn't work. The fact that Swift says he's not out on Waldron is PURE COMEDY.....Flus and Waldron should both be launched into the sun.....I've seen better play calling at HS games on Friday nights!😂😂😂 These COACHES are the real BUSTS not the players.

    The run game needs to do better for Caleb. Yes, the line play hasn't been very good, but Swift has not looked very good running the ball. Ro Johnson and Herbert need to be running the ball in tough situations. Swift is best used in screens and some as a wideout matched up with LB's. His vision is not impressive coming out of the backfield.
