    Waldrons play calling is killing this team. Yeah Caleb with the overthrows and turnovers, but I don't think you would see as much of that with competent playcalling and better play from the OL. I think Calebs gonna be a star, but not with this coaching staff. Also Eberflus is not a good HC and Morgan can't be in charge of the running game.

    • @AkamatsuCreative
      @AkamatsuCreative หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Agree. But I think 5-10 yard overthrows are way more likely miscommunication about the routes than just Caleb being inaccurate. Almost none of the offense is in sync on any level close to the rest of the division. This is the same issue as 2022- The first 3 games were basically like an extended pre-season. And Waldron doesn't seem to know his personnel. There was zero reason to keep taking Roschon off the field, and keep spamming Swift, even though he was a complete non-factor. Polese needs to get his arms around this thing in a hurry, or this season is going to slip away fast.

Never good to lose and Caleb needs to tighten up on the long balls, but his speed of release and the speed of his thews are unbelievable. I’m happy, Caleb is the man now for me and so is rome. With how valuable and hard it is to find and develop a good QB why is there always this need to “move on” from the current QB when you take a high draft pick at QB? Why does no one draft and develop even top picks anymore? They have to come in and start and get the crap kicked out of them for a season or two before they have it figured out enough to lead a team. For example, Chicago Bears had the opportunity to keep Fields and draft Williams. Fields needed to get better but he was a dynamic athlete that gave you a chance to win but he was inconsistent. They got a 6th rd pick for him after 4 years of development. The right thing to do by Fields was to get some return on that investment and have him usher in a new QB or to take it as a challenge to get better, that’s the exact reason why they have the 5th year option. If Fields walks we only got a 6th rd pick that pales in comparison to what he could have contributed in 2024. Look what he’s done so far with some weapons and a good Defense for the Steelers.

  • @richmargin6082
    @richmargin6082 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Adam. Dont worry about wins right now. Here are the reasons:
    1. We are not done rebuilding. We have 1 more year
    2. Our #1 goal is to develop a franchise QB. How many times do we have to hear our QB is a bust? This is all we talked about off season. Then we got a rookie QB who threw more yards in his 3rd game than fields ever did in 3 years.
    3. Caleb is getting better each game. He is coming along a lot faster than almost any rookie QB. CJ Stroud just told everyone last week, that it took him 3-4 games before he got going.
    4. Caleb needs to avg 236 yards a game to break 4,000 yards. Even with 2 bad games, he is avg 210 right now. If he throws 300 yards next week, he will be on pace to break 4,000 yards

    • @cbrindle91
      @cbrindle91 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Very optimistic. Though, I feel we are rebuilding the wrong way. We should have attacked the OL more in the draft, and we should be continuing to add to the OL every draft. Look at Green Bay; they are an OL factory. They have a backup QB tearing it up out there BECAUSE they have a good OL program. Jordan Love's raggedy ass stays clean all day...

    • @holdwhatdoor7629
      @holdwhatdoor7629 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We had a franchise QB and gave it to Pittsburgh. We could have finished the rebuild in this past draft, trading the #1 pick for more to shore up our O-Line and get another offensive weapon. We already had Roschon, who should be the feature back. Just needed a couple pieces on the OLine. Could have gotten a tackle in the first round and a center like Zach Frazier in the second round. Fields is taking snaps from Frazier in Pittsburgh and both are playing extremely well and winning.

  • @TannerD-nj4cv

    Adam I have been following you from the beginning and I love your thought process, but yes 50% of the problem is the O-line, 25% the coaches and 25% Caleb’s fault and that’s just from week 3. Week 2 was 1,000% the coaches fault.. the play calls were awful…. And I will finally finish by saying Caleb Willams is the JV version of Justin Fields. Wish we kept Fields but this is what we got and by no means should we have only 2 passing TD’s in 3 games.. the coaches gotta figure something out because this team has too much talent to be this bad. I feel bad for our Defense… bear down 🐻

But we went with the typical hype of a first round QB draft pick.That being said we need Kiran Amegadjie out there doing what he does best. We need O-line help bad, and our OC has got to adjust with the strengths we have on offense because our defense has been playing their ass off to keep us in every game… I think we can do it but if we can’t establish the run game I’m not sure what the out come will be week to week.
