I'm specifically talking about the Warhammer 40,000, and the Imperium of Man's standing military, which is most commonly known as the Imperial Guard (though the official name was changed to Astra Militarum due to copyright reasons). If you're asking which Regiment specifically, the obvious choice might be the Catachans, this being a jungle and all (plus there is a footnote in the current Codex about a Catachan and Elysian combined Regiment that would be very appropriate). That said, the whole "Hold the Line" is pretty much a universal thing for the Guard. How else could the Space Marines show up at the last second to steal all the glory?

Honestly, I loved it and still play it but I find it weird how some riflemen in a building can destroy upgraded tanks that have fought in many dangerous battles and survived. My favourite faction is the russians because they have the nukes and flamethrowers on their tanks.

I'd LOVE to see Ben Het recreated in this: Tank vs Tank in the Vietnam war. a trio of American M48A3s vs something like 5-6 NVA PT-76 light tanks. plus enemy arty, friendly arty, Gonney Bird gunships, and airpower. that's going to be a fun mess to coordinate!

There is a number of wargames that try to include fog of war and uncertainty, of enemy actions and sometimes the actions of your own troops. Sekigahara has a mechanic where you need to activate your feudal levies with matching cards. It's a few hectic months and getting a bunch of samurai from different clans to move and fight in large units is hard.
Should try Blue Force Tracking and run an Arma mission from the back lines like this, calling in support and other means to help your front. But knowing Arma this should end awfully.
