the circuit tracks is really great as a first instrument, but it also works incredibly well with existing setups! it can act as a hub for a setup with the midi tracks and mixing capabilities, as well as a drum machine and a pretty versatile synth. the one thing that everyone complains about is the limit of 8 patterns per track - i don't think it's a big issue, but you should be aware of it.

Questions for the experts. - How do I activate to hear the built-in project package that comes inside the device? - Can the projects and sounds built into the device as they left the factory be accidentally deleted?? - How is it possible to reset the device as it left the factory with the built-in sounds and projects at the press of a button? hey! thanks for your comments:) 1: when you first get the device, the 16 default projects are available under the Projects button. if they're not there, press Projects twice to access packs. press the top left one, wait for it to load, and then press projects. the 16 factory projects should be there. 2: yes the factory ones can be deleted, but you can restore them using the novation components software on a computer. 3: there is no "factory reset" feature that i know of, but you can use a computer to put the factory pack back onto your circuit, which is similar.
thanks for the tutorial bro. i have a question: is it possible to connect launchkey mini and use it as a synth with the circuit tracks, if the launchkey is already being used as a midi controller in a daw? it wont be a dawless setup but i wonder if i can make use of the launchkey mini that way?
im not sure what you mean, the launchkey mini isn't a synth? if you mean use the launchkey mini as a midi controller for both, then i'm sure you can, you'd just need to set up the midi channels of the launchkey so that one channel is for the daw and the other channels are for the tracks. in order the change the channels on the tracks, use shift+save to enter setup mode. from there, select each track to change its channel, and once you select one use the top 16 pads to choose the midi channel. then press play to go back into normal mode. there's more info about this in the user guide: fael-downloads-prod.focusrite.com/customer/prod/downloads/circuit_tracks_user_guide_v3_en.pdf
