Check out this Back Seat POV of Expedition Everest in HD. Enjoy. Back Row. POV. Length: 4424' Height:112' Drop: 80' Inversions: 0 Speed: 50 mph Duration: 2:50
I think because you're basically catching the "drag" of the train. Think of a hill drop: while the first couple of cars are going down, they are building up the momentum, and by the time the last car reaches the top and begins to decent, they're already pretty close to full speed. So the back seats are really getting pulled along over the bumps and drops. Awesome fun!
Sitting towards the back is actually scarier since it feel faster (the front has to wait for you to reach the top of the hill) and the fact that it goes backwards makes it more exciting.
No worries sweetie. Would you like me to pack you a lunch for school, or do they serve healthy foods at the cafeteria? And what did I tell you about using proper grammar, spelling, and capitalization?
For some reason, the back is always scariest... Though in this ride, outside of the moutain the cars kind of looked like a catipillar. One of my favs! :)
I really think this person who records is awesome you wanna know why?? Because they spend loads of money to go on loads of rides in different places just for us that makes me very happy to know you're so selfless thank you and awesome ride I wish I could go there :D :D.
Sit in the back! The middle and especially the front are laggy because you're waiting for the back before you can drop full speed, whereas in the back.. as soon as you get to the top of that rise, you're going full speed down the decline. It's a lot more thrilling, not only because of this-but also because the back tends to get jostled around a bit more, so it's a win-win. If you're not looking for a bit of extra thrill, though, yeah.. avoid the back.
When it first opened, and for about a year, I remember you had full view of the yeti and it moved around trying to get you. Instead of rushing past him the train stopped and moved slowly forward.Unfortunately due to the animatronics not working properly, the designers had to resort to this, rushing past it and only seeing it for a second. =(
You get the most airtime in the back seat :). You can see a lot more in the front though. So if you want more of a thrill go with the back seat, if you want an average ride but a good view go with the front seat.
First time I freaked out when it went reverse in the dark, but also I was screaming of joy cause it was probably the very first coaster I'd been to (a big one, as I'm shit scared of coasters) the drop was sick. Like I almost felt I had my heart in my mouth and my eyes were closed. When I got off, i loved it so much that I went on it again, And tried my best to keep my eyes open when the drop came, And the camera clicked a decent picture lol. It seems simple in the video but you know it, it isn't :)
its actually great, but i think the tower of terror give more of that gut scared feeling you want from a coaster. This is fun but too quick however as far as detail goes it is the best. it looks like a freakin' real mountain. Disney may not have real caosters but they know how to make up for it in details and fun.
So... I went on this ride in 2009- RIGHT before we got on, it got stuck going up into the mountain thing. We didn't have the park hopper option so we had to figure something out so we could go back to Animal Kingdom and ride it. It made me feel lightheaded...
I went on this the first time last week, definitely my favorite ride out of all of the worlds at disney world! The speed of this ride was surprisingly fast, great story line. I was wondering about the yeti cause I completely missed it the first time that I went on the ride. They need a copy of this ride in CA!
@ooolarge the middle is perfect(: it's cause in the front it's all bumpy and in the back its not that fast so yea I would say the middle hope this helped!
When you go up the 2nd lift towards the mountain, look behind you and you can see Kali River Rapids and *construction for a new area* *area might not be under construction, just check it out for yourself
this, by far, was and still is my favorite coaster of all time

My great uncle is almost 70 and he went on this this summer, he's so cool!

Plus when you watch the yeti rip up track it feels like you're about to go upside down in the back
Timothy yeah I got second row bc my other friends really wanted first.
Timothy yi
The person who was waving when you leave the station is like "Have fun meeting Harold the yeti!"
Harold is at Matterhorn. Bob is the yeti you're talking about here.
Ozone6136 srry mum ;(
No worries sweetie. Would you like me to pack you a lunch for school, or do they serve healthy foods at the cafeteria? And what did I tell you about using proper grammar, spelling, and capitalization?
Ozone6136 I'm sorry mother.
This is a wonderful conversation.

You need to be stopped
This ride isn’t bad at all. They only time you feel something was going backwards. You don’t go upside down or anything. The ride was amazing!

i love how the train whistles when it leaves the station, this ride is so realistic! :D
Earlier this year I went on this ride and I was so scared but after the ride I was so happy and I wanted to go on it again.
when I was younger, I used to be scared of the fake yetti, so my dad gave me and my mate pennies to throw at him XD LOL
I really think this person who records is awesome you wanna know why?? Because they spend loads of money to go on loads of rides in different places just for us that makes me very happy to know you're so selfless thank you and awesome ride I wish I could go there :D :D.
The first time I went on this ride I was put in the back with my best friend.... best thing that happened to me!

Selfless? I'm pretty sure he has fun riding all these coasters, too! :p
i love those newcomers who put their hands up at the long ascend.

That drop is definitely something serious when you ride in the back!

I love how smooth the ride goes.
every time I go on this I ask the employees if I can sit in the back and every time i sit in the back
cant wait for August 2011, going to Florida for the 4th time WOOOO
This ride is not only the most expensive roller coaster in the world, but the tallest mountain in Florida.
Yup :) The laws of physics agree too!
Moving backward is the scariest thing ever TT

i am going to Disney in 4 weeks!! This will be the first park I go to. Damn it...this ride looks scary!!!
sounds like a very smooth ride.
Mmmph. Wish people had better footage of how that second switchback worked, but they always focus on the shadowplay Yeti ripping up the track instead.
huray! the back of a seat, wonderful! :) kidding, kool 4 reel.
Best ride ever! Went on it 4 times in a row!
Awesome! The back seat really kicks your ass!
Another one of my favorites -3 You're bringing back a lot of memories -3 Great video, as always. Keep them coming (:

One of my favorite rides at Disney. Thanks for the video. What did yo use to record it?
The backwards part in the ride is pretty scary!!!!
This ride was AWESOME.
You go down really fast backwards then go up so it has a lot of g-force in it just sayin

I love this ride!
@A77Everything Actually as of now it's not the animatronic at all, it's just an image, maybe a projection of it on the screen. ;P
I always wonder, in the beginning, before to go in reverse, how is the other side of the montain
Theres mountains in Florida?
Ikr? I wanna meet this person, lol with all the rides they go on, I probably have.
3:16 close up look of SCARY YETI!!!!!
Screwy F. Yeah when I went no one believed me that you could see a real model of the yeti in the dark at the end. This is my proof
Tobi Spencer it used to lunge at you
Screwy F. back then, it was scary af
The back is so much better than the front cause you get pulled down on the drops and it seems way faster
I love that ride! It's so awesome.
i loved the waiting place, it was so much fun looking at fake yeti turd. not. :3
the ride was awesome though.
The worst is with the first seat or the last. Sit in the middle!
@ooolarge the middle is perfect(: it's cause in the front it's all bumpy and in the back its not that fast so yea I would say the middle hope this helped!
