- Osmania Biscuits are popular in Hyderabad , India as a biscuit to go with tea (chai ) . it is easy to make and quite appropriate for having with tea .this biscuts will be avilable in each and every iranicafe in hyderabad.

Ingredients:
Butter 120 g
Sugar powder 80 g
Milk 20 ml
All purpose flour 200 g
Custard powder 10 g
Milk powder 10 g
Cardamom powder ½ ts
Baking powder ¼ ts
Saffron ½ g
Milk for wash
Directions:
Take a bowl add butter, powder sugar mix it well add milk mix it.
Take another bowl add all purpose flour, custard powder, milk powder, cardamom powder, baking powder mix all of these, this mixture add into the butter and sugar powder and mix it well like a dough.
Roll the dough into a thin sheet and cut them into round shape and arrange the biscuits in the tray, and pour the saffron mixture on top of this and bake them at 180c for 15 minutes.
Osmania biscuits are ready to eat.

Tried this recepie and it came out really very well. I just baked for 20 mins though. The recepie is very simple and easy to make . Thank you @vahrevah chef.

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter

I tried this one n seriously it turned out awesome der was jst a ltl diff i needed to add more than 200gm of flour to get dough consistency.....rest is same as said by vah re vah chef.....thank u soo much

What a delicious mess- to my kitchen! Converted your metric amounts to american measure but my dough was not rollable, so I made ball shaped cookies with some additional flour. I simply flattened, milk bathed and baked the biscuits ; they came out great. Couldn't find custard mix at my large grocer but a cost plus (import goods) had it. Will try out your custard cookies next, thanks for sharing.

Custard powder is made of cornflour, yellow colouring and vanilla flavouring so you can use those instead.

I would like to make a request for one receipe which is Hyderabadi famous. Dilkush. Oh man I love that stuffed coconut sweet with bread outside. I hppe you are familiar with this receipe. Here in US, every home (including rental apartments) has big conventiional ovens. So, please post this receipe.

hi chef tried the recipe it came out well except that the cookies were sticking to the sheet . I greased the tray used butter sheet and placed the cookies on it . But the cookies were sticking to the sheet . Where am i going wrong
