Point of clarification! My online shop is only closing for the holidays, NOT forever. Wednesday, December 11th is the last day for US customers to get their orders before X-Mas.
Thank you for shouting out Forgotten Ballad. Already got a couple of orders on the website. I love these kinds of videos. My Paypal account hates them, though, because I'm about to order all kinds of cool stuff recommended here. :)
As soon as I saw that shiny red cover for Wonderland I knew that I'd want it on my bookshelf, thanks for the recommendation! Might never have heard of it otherwise.
I love your vibe friend 👊 We need this level of enthusiasm for the hobby. What jumped out at me during your map making video (dungeon one I first saw), you have that childlike sense of wonder. Or maybe you have the beginner's mindset. I am here for it! Your drive is contagious and has helped me get back into drawing my maps. Anyways, be well be cool stay you!
Terror Target Gemini is something to die for! The city described in the setting has different encounters for every district, crazy NPCs to interact with, simple yet interesting magic system, rules for wild exploration and chases too! Plus is just a beautiful piece to have on your shelves. I knew you would like it! PS: About the handmade typing, Luca Negri once said "never again", but, damn, he did it again... in english XD
Great video Sir I have purchased at least two of your own crafted items and I love them....flik silverpens how to make maps and your comic book making book .... Thank you so much for making these and other items as well as the videos on your channel
Andrew kolb writes for 5e based games because that's where most of his audience is. I've run Oz in cypher system, and I'm thinking about running Wonderland in monster of the week. Andrew said he'd love to see Oz run in Blades in the dark
Agree. I understand why they are made for 5e, but its a pity since these settings could sing with another rules system, whether Cypher or a light OSR game.
@@mechanussunrise Honestly the setting isn't geared towards any game system. The only thing that's made for 5e are the creature stat blocks. And you can just grab creatures from whatever game rulebook you're using.
New Goons and Ghosts adventure? Sign me up. I loved the first 3 I got from your store. I’ll have to check out the notTMNT adventures too while I’m there.
Suggestion for those looking for large pad of graph paper: Desktop pad replacement [like those huge calendars that sit on the desk of Really Important People, only with grid instead]. Paper is thicker and grid sizes vary.
I love that you included the resin dice making set, because I like doing resin art, too. Just be careful: molds often hold air bubbles, especially in small places (like the corners of numbers, for example, or dice corners altogether). Thus, it takes a bit of experience and manual dexterity to get somewhat usable dice, and if you want to do really good ones, you usually need a pressure pot and a small compressor to cure the dice in. This will squeeze the bubble so teeny-tiny that they don't matter anymore. Just overfill the molds a bit so there is excess resin to fill the gaps of where the bubbles were. :) And please: wear a respirator and nitrile gloves when working with resin, because there can be vapors you don't want to inhale during the curing (which is why you usually want to let your resin stuff cure somewhere else than your living room), and the resin itself is irritating to the skin. This might be discouraging for some people to get into resin casting, but it shouldn't. You can do awesome art with resin, even without a pressure pot - only stuff like dice is really, really difficult. Just know the pitfalls beforehand, so you aren't disappointed.
Similar to some of your picks - Have you tried Goblin Errands? Its wonderful and the roll tables alone are worth the buy. They get used all the time for kids games!
Hey backer here. I left some comments on typos on the Dragon town Kickstarter but haven't heard back. I understand that holidays make it hard to catch up on everything, but I just wanted to make sure you read the message I left on kick starter 😌

friggin postal strike has stopped my patreon deliveries from you right now so hopefully it will be over soon and i will get some fun stuffs in the mail after christmas.
I'll be doing a video about this in the future for sure. Check out Tangled Blessings, Glide, Eleventh Beast, Outliers, Hiria the Eternal City, Cartograph, and Home.
Miru, I think, is the best place to start. It’s the most accessible for someone that like wants to play an RPG that solo. A lot of solo RPG books have mechanics like journaling, which Miru can do, but when a lot of people think RPG, they want RPG mechanics. Miru is a great step into the genre before branching out into the more unique mechanical solo RPG’s.
Excellent video! I think Ive become more of a fan of rpg art than actually playing rpgs. 😂. Does anyone know of UK or European sites/artists similar to the stuff mentioned here. Postage is killing me!

Thanks! I got really concerned for a moment.
Hopefully, I got my order in on time.

The other two in the series by the same author and illustrator are excellent as well: Neverland and Oz.

I absolutely love your pateron! Love this vid
Well this just doubled my christmas wishlist, so many wonderful, fun sounding games! Thank you for compiling this!
Wonderland was my gift to myself this holiday :-D
Love the list JP! Guess I’ll add a few more to the endless list of books and zines that want to buy!
Thanks for the recommendations! I really was intrigued by some and just ordered, Expedition Log, Arcane Artifacts, and Shadowdark.
Hey man! Thanks a lot for mentioning Forgotten Ballad! You're a great inspiration 💚💚
It’s a wonderful game!

I get why they wouldn't do it again! Apparently, there is an English, Italian, and French version ALL hand lettered!
I am thankful it's not just books, as every dnd gift guide recommends books I already own, so a object is more than welcome
Well… it’s mostly books.

SoulMuppet is in UK and they publish a lot of fun stuff. So is Melsonisn Arts Council and Loot the Room. Rowan, Rook amd Deckard is amother great one.
As a massive Zelda fan that set looks amazing ❤
Great gift ideas!
Target Terror Gemini is so cool
Great list!!!
Thanks, JP

Yes! Mentioned it in a video about a year ago!
Noooo, you're closing the shop?! 😭
Edit: the end of the video clarifies that the store closing is just for the season. Crisis averted!
Just for the holidays!
@@JPCoovertYeah this was unclear to me as well lol

There's a link in the PDF for submitting errors, but I do see your comment. Thanks for catching that.
I need more Hero Quest!
Thanks for the great suggestions. One thing, the link to the map making tools takes me to page not found on Amazon. :(

What keyboard switches do you use??
Right now the Kailh Cocoa switches that came with the keyboard. But I want to try some other ones!

Yeah! Postal workers deserve so much more. Hope they can make some good progress!

Not solely a solo RPG, but The One Ring has solo mechanics and is a great Lord of the Rings RPG.
My man knows his boards. How's those long keys sound?
Just starting to learn! Wish the space bar was a little nicer, but it's still a 100% upgrade from the other mechanical keyboards I've used.
