Thanks for the demonstration how the canted valves work. Those heads are sooo huge.

I like using a spring Height checker that sits where the spring goes and tap the retainer because it usually will add .010 to

I can't believe you're not running a vacuum pump on it. You're leaving probably an extra 20-30 hp out there, not to mention it would definetly help seal those new rings.

If your spinning that beast past 7000 rpm , you should be running titanium valves period !

Did something happen during this build? We've been all waiting for more build videos from this 632, but this was the last update, and its been over five months now. Just anxiously waiting for the dyno day!

I noticed that you do not check the installed stem heights, at least not on camera. Do you find it to be unnecessary for your particular camshaft/rocker arm combination, as opposed to a milder basically stock engine with non-adjustable rockers? Really enjoying this series. Thanks!

Why no glyptol in the valley, or chamfering of the oil drain back windows?

Looks like a very large diameter heavy spring…have you tried the newer small diameter springs from PSI etc? They work very well and last much longer.

While a lot of builders still set up springs by pressure, that's actually not the best way to do it....spring rate, frequency, size, clearance to coil bind all come into play. The springs on my new heads are not being done by seat or open pressure...Also, best way to measure the installed height of the spring is with a height mic, snap gauges are inherently inaccurate.

Those are decent heads as far as AFR goes, but for the money I'd have gone with MBE Big-9 heads. World of difference between their heads and AFR Chinese heads. You can see their videos on here, and those heads justify the cost.

Valve Spring pressure on the exhaust valve is way TOO HIGH.😮 You should be more concerned with valve float and bounce back.
