How in the world does this interview/documentary only have 32 likes? So glad I came across this. I've been following Shane on Instagram for a while now. I knew he was the real deal, but your interview provided more insight and context into what drives him. Fantastic job!

I loved your video. I recently discovered this and like you I have no photography experience but I know I'm going to love it. Thank you so much for the inspiration...you are truly amazing...your art and your spirit.

Made my first plate yesterday 9/24/22 (4X5 aluminum). I got an image first attempt, southern Maine sunny day F8 for 4 seconds. I n my mind the best plate ever made, then it started to peel off. Oh well the adventure continues. Do you coat your plates with ablumen ? I've heard that will correct peeling.

Shane, I see you putting those glass plates up on the wall and I think "Earthquake!" (I live in California.)

I'm certain this is no vanity activity or project. You are trying to ensure a fragment of immortality for those who sit for you.
