This is an easy version of the torn and restored bill trick. I will take you through step by step on how to perform the effect.

It's a good trick. The only problem is that the serial number is different on both half of the bill.
That's why you must do a bill switch when handing it out for inspection.

Yes really. Anyone who is not close enough to see the serial numbers will ask to see them. This trick may work on kids MAYBE but it won't work on adults.

The dead giveaway here is the viewer is looking at the original bill and that person, like myself, would look at the serial number of the bill. Not all of the serial number but just a few of the numbers and a letter. When the bill is restored is when you notice that it isn't the same dollar bill that was torn. That's the part that kills this trick.

Couldn't tell what kind of glue you were using there. Would rubber cement work or would you recommend something else?
