Israel approves plan to transfer Gaza tax funds to Norway

- Israel has decided to release a part of the funds it owes to the Palestinian Authority (PA).
It’s part of taxes that Israel collects on their behalf.
But the money meant for Gaza will be held in Norway instead of the PA.
Al Jazeera’s Nida Ibrahim reports from the occupied West Bank.

Just as a matter of interest why Norway ?
I don't really know, but it could be that the Palestinian Authority trusts them to handle it's funds. Obviously, they can't trust Israel. Norwegians are honest. It's part of our culture.
It's called an escrow. When you need to freeze or delay funds until the matter is resolved you need a third party to hold it, otherwise it would be considered stealing. The parties needs to agree on who's going to hold it, so I guess both PA and Israel have a good relationship with Norway.

With just our basic understanding (and intuitive feeling for justice) it is completely beyond the imaginable that Israel is even involved in the management of tax money OF ANOTHER COUNTRY (?!) or at the very least of a whole section of the population, denying them the funds for infrastructure, education, health, and social support that tax money is meant to be used for... How legal is the occupation of the territories designated as "Palestine"? What right does Israel even have to be doing any of all this?
