This just goes to show how much of a badass Muhammad Ali was. He was physically and mentally ravaged by his condition at this point, but he *still* had an amount of showmanship few could ever hope to rival. You have to be one damn strong-willed man to keep your head up in the face of everything else in your world trying to drag you down, and he did it.
Two of my childhood heroes, Ali and Fox. RIP, Ali. One of the greatest icons of the last century. And best of luck to Fox in his fight to find a cure for Parkinson's disease.

Michael j fox is a great man he is my hero, i am 18 and Michael has taught me to live each day with acceptance and graditude like he said in readers digest he practises those principles daily
my father was diagnosed with parkinsons at age 35. i was 4 years old. he's 63 now. 28 years and still fighting. as much as i despise ali's antics back in his day i admire him for what he's doing now. id die a poor homeless hobo if i could live long enough to see a cure. my father has dealt with it for 28 years and he's still fighting. support this if you can.

Officially from dementia and Alzheimer’s brought on by Parkinson’s… we were able to keep him HOME. comfortable in hospice care for about a month where I tended to his daily needs with daily visits by nurses. My number one goal was to make sure he died in his own home comfortably, NOT in some ER or questionable nursing home….. He’ll always be my hero, I take comfort in his final days where things seemed ‘blank’ and I would ask him to squeeze my hand if he could hear me and he would squeeze….

I strongly doubt that you would have the guts to make your remark to Muhammad Ali FACE TO FACE - even as he is now; let alone when (GOD willing) a cure for Parkinson's is found ... If we have triggers for things then 2 things that were stressful in her life i know about was 1) a fear of stairs from a young age possibly a fall and the disease showed shortly after moving 200 miles--- . Hard seeing her die slowly physically but not mentally. May God lead you to an answer Michael and Ali if only for those in the future.

I just bought his biography, "Lucky Man." It says on the back that the profits made from it will be donated to his foundation. I feel so good about that. I bet it's that way with his other two books as well. Hopefully I'll be buying those soon. He's a great writer and a beautiful person.

Actually Ali was diagnosed in 1984 and Fox in 1991 so they've both had Parkinsons in excess of 20 years now. Both hero's!!! :)
