  • Recovery is the most confusing thing EVER.
One minute you feel like your life is over and you can't do it.
The next you'r so motivated and positive.
It's so hard to understand your emotions at times but it's completely normal to feel this way.
This is your sign to gooooo and get some snacks / foods to challenge from the shops! You can do it!

you really deserve to recover and get your life back and there’s no shame in needing more support! i know it feels impossible to change and it’s the last thing your Ed wants, and one of the hardest things is not being able to see or accept how unwell you are- i completely get that and from someone who’s been there and felt the same way I just want to tell you that things won’t always be this difficult. It can be so hard to trust the professionals when the Ed is so strong but they only want the best for you, anorexia can be so manipulative and make you think you’re fine and that you don’t need them but in reality services are so overstretched that they wouldn’t be seeing you if you didn’t really need the help! sending you so much love Demi, you are stronger than you realise and I believe in you💕💕

Thankyou so much honestly your words mean so much to me 🫶🏻 I think that really is the scary part is how you can really believe and convince yourself that there is nothing wrong and carry on. But your so right I need to start and believe that they only want to help me. Thankyou so much again and I really hope you are doing okay too, I’m sending you all the love! 🫶🏻 xxx

Demi, i dont want sounds harsh but i really hope you can start pushing yourself a little bit further here and there with foods because you will end up in hospital if you dont. I was in your situation on verge of going into hospital but as hard as that ed voice is you just have to force feed yourself until eventually in time it gets a little bit easier.
I really hope your able to avoid hospital. However hospital might be needed if you need that break - it was put to me that hospital would also give me a break away from compulsive behaviour id not be allowed to do in a hospital (like exercise for example, compulsion around foods) so that id get rest from it all but a break in routine and in the compulsive behaviour hopefully.
So if you need that break, rest, and help hospital isnt always a bad thing but you can really do this outpatient demi if you are really determined too.
Sorry for waffling on. Hope some that made some kind of sense.
You seem like such a lovely person im sorry ur struggling x

Thankyou so much honestly it’s the hardest thing ever isn’t it especially when the ED voice starts to make you believe that your not unwell. It’s so confusing at times, but your so right I really appreciate your comment. A break from the exercise and behaviours would definitely be good but at the same time I’m just terrified. I really need to challenge these foods now to do it outpatient I just hope I can do it 🙏🏼 it made perfect sense thank you so much and I hope you are doing well sending all my love!! x

You are awesome for being so honest and open. I'm on a path to get stronger as well and have struggled with eating over the years due to digestive issues. No matter what type of "eating disorder" someone has, it's hard for people to understand why food can be challenging sometimes. One thing I've been doing is each day I add "extras". So I'll eat my meal or snack and then have an extra few bites of something else. It sounds really silly and small...but it really helps! Adding in just a few extra bites of things each day consistently will truly pay off and it won't feel as overwhelming. Hope you start to feel better 💜☺

Thankyou so so much!! I’m sorry to hear about it I’m sending you lots of love on your journey🫶🏻 your so right it’s so true and super difficult for people to understand too. I loveee that approach it’s definitely a good way to not get so overwhelmed I’m going to give it a go and try and add some more things to my meals. Thank you so much and to you too 🤍 x

Really hope you can push yourself, I’ve been there too and also fought them when they wanted me in hospital. I would some how always convince them I could do it.
Force feeding yourself is the only way, take the bagels out of the freezer and challenge yourself to a bagel a day -?remember you can’t wait to feel ready cause you never will.
I really hope you can do it ❤❤❤❤

Thankyou!! It’s the hardest part of it because you just don’t want the support from them and it starts to feel like they are controlling and taking your life from you 😢 I’m going to have to do just that at this point I can’t go into hospital that will crush me. Thankyou so much again ❤❤
