Nice review. Thank you for showing it slide out both directions...I was wondering if the scissors get in the way. Highly considering jumping to this med pouch. One critique: please consider turning down the background music a touch. Thanks, again...good review.
Also, another reason to run two tourniquets: If the first tourniquet doesn't stop the bleed, the standard medical procedure is to add a second one.
and the bag you can use as a chest seal in a pinch
I got the Warrior Poet IFAK and I really like it so far. I was able to fit more in it than I originally thought. I did have to spend extra time getting everything positioned correctly but I got it exactly setup how I want it now. I am really happy with the design of this IFAK plus I have a spot for a tourniquet and shears. The tourniquet is a tight fit and may be hard to deploy but I am hoping with time, it will loosen up a bit so it is easier to remove.
I've found with the TQ that tight is better than loose and as long as you have the ears facing the right way it'll release when you need it too:)
Will it fit a 4 inch israeli Bandage I'm there with all the regular stuff?
@@citizen9403 No, I think it would be too small to fit that along with the standard stuff. It will fit by itself.
I appreciate the assistance of the tiny human for this video. Solid work.
Thanks Stud, team effort brought it next level
Been looking to upgrade from my blue force gear micro kit and I’m sold! I run four TQs on my kit. Two on my belt and two in my chest rig/plate carrier
I think you're going to like this!
Some first hand experience from Afghanistan..it’s also good to have multiple tourniquets in case the ones you have get “blown off.” I was in Panjwai. Had a lot of IEDs. We used to carry them on our kit, in shoulder pockets, leg pockets, etc..a few times we had guys get blown up and their legs and/or arms were gone…so were the tourniquets…
You can never have enough tourniquets
You basically hit all my points and my one gripe (loose contents). I might either sew some elastic loops, or punch holes for shock cord on mine, but for now, the quart bag works awesome.
Overall 8.5 out of 10, and it's replaced both my BFG Micro Trauma Kit and MedMag as my go to belt IFAK.
thanks for the love and the insight on what you doing brosef! either elastic or shock cord great suggestions:)
@@TacticalFellowship I don't know if Flatline Fiber Co. or Kinetic Consulting helped design this, but that functional shears stow and pull point is an awesome feature. And on reflection, I might just keep using the quart bag, it's see through, keeps everything together, and as you mentioned, waterproofs it.
If I may add one more suggestion, maybe offer an ARS and quickclot as discounted add ons to the ifak if you can't add them to the kit itself for whatever reason.
Because of this review I now really want this IFAK. Good stuff as always Sir 👍
Your mountain man shooting buddies will thank you;)
New subscriber here, great content, fun to watch, keep up the great work and thank you for sharing!
Thanks a billion for the Love & the Sub good Stud!
The ziplock bag seem like a good idea should use some left over from my AT. I had this Ifak on my blue alpha belt seem ok. Idk about any others that own the same Ifak but the elastic part that holds a TQ the end where the windless clip where I put my TQ ha some wear like it flare out. Seem to still have a good hold but just worn a bit l. Is this just mine or anybody else have this same issue?
Maybe another strip of Velcro on the back? Just in case, ya know lol still looking like the best option though
What size belt fits through the belt loops?
inner best fits through my standard jean loops so no worries there...
Brother, you wearing an EOD
t-shirt in this video?
victorwrench;)
@@TacticalFellowship thanks. Cool stuff!
What strap strips you use to put the IFAK on your belt ?
malice clips - they might be the fight light ones but malice none the less
Good observations!!
Thanks my Man!
Do you think this is feasible as an edc kit? Or perhaps reasonable in a suit jacket?
I think this is too big for a suit jacket, the warrior poet society ankle medkit is probs the better bet here:)
I’d like to buy one buuuut the kits with all the components are sold out!
yep, keeping my eyes on TQ's but they hard to nab...
…and you can use the bag as a chest seal!😮
Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines (And Guardians) that have done any kind of land navigation in various terrains know that in the right terrain you can come out the other side looked like you were raped and robbed by sasquatch. That said, gear of any kind that can get snagged, by limbs, stickers or the boogeyman should be a consideration. Even at units where tying down everything (dummy cord) was the standard, shit still gets lost.
That said, the concept is pretty good, but the scissors just stick out too much for my trust. The less shit that can get snagged up is always a big plus. I would say "in my opinion" but this is the opinion of anyone that's done lots of patrols, land nav etc. etc.
Sweet dance moves! :)
Thanks 😆
