All fighters mentioned are magnificent .we all have favorite boxers . Different minds and eyes think and see different things. My favs were jack johnson joe louis muhammad Ali sugat ray leonard and Tommy hearns. I think from those five superb boxers ,a complete boxer can be built. I think for mental toughness jack johnson was the man. Johnson had three balls .
Speed/reflexes goes to Roy or Floyd, Skill goes to James Toney. Nobody could fight on the ropes like Toney. Jab goes to Holmes. Footwork goes to Ali. Chin goes to Tua. Heart goes to Joe Frazier/ Larry Holmes. The great fighters all showed that that they could get off the floor to win a fight. Stamina, I like Salvador Sanchez. Power goes to Julian Jackson. Overall toughness from head to toe, Hagler. Didn't matter where you hit him and what you hit him with, you were just gonna piss him off.

He should have said Ali for the best chin! And he also should have said Salvador Sanchez for he was tops in every category and did it all before turning 23 and then lost his life. What about the personality of ali
GGG has the best chin in boxing history (he took Canelo’s biggest haymaker shot that KO’d Khan), and walked through it like it was nothing. Literally we’ve never seen him even remotely hurt or wobbled, yet alone dropped. I doubt Hagler could take Canelo’s hardest shot clean on the chin and walk through it completely in phases like GGG did.

Ali & Holmes had a more basic jab than Hearns, With Ali & Holmes a jab was just a jab, at worst it was setting up a right cross.
Hearns jab was AS GOOD as Holmes but how Hearns used his lead hand to hook to the body & Head & uppercut with it sets him apart & how he used it to control his opponent & set up that BAZOOKA right hand of his is legendary. When yer talking about the best lead hand the sport has seen yer talking about Tommy Hearns & Roy Jones Jr & on versatility & effectiveness Im going with Hearns.

In terms of consistency ts hard to look beyond Tyson & Foreman. Ferocity goes to Tyson, Raw natural nervous system damaging power is Foreman, go to the dictionary & look up the term "Heavy Handed" & there you will see a pic of Big George smiling back at you.
Guys like Bob Foster come into the conversation & today Wilder probably needs some respect put on his name, as a one shot *KO Artist* Wilder is genuinely top class, hes not out there shutting his eyes, swinging blindly & getting lucky, hes boxing safe, being composed, setting it up n picking his moments, his display in Fury 1 was *FRIGHTENING* but for one single second it was arguably the highest level of *KO ARTISTRY* ever seen in a World Championship Boxing ring.
Beterbiev is displaying special power at LHW. Him & Wilder might not have faced the amount of quality opponents the guys from earlier eras have faced but what they're displaying at the World Championship level is as real as anything that has gone before them.

Single shot "SNAP !" Ive not seen faster than Hearns or Roy Jones. Effective combination punching Ali, Leonard, Roy Jones & Mike Tyson.

Its more than just using the ring. Hagler had fantastic footwork, Mike Tyson had fantastic footwork as did Marciano. Andy Ruiz today has similar footwork to Marciano (Step n slide, keeping the feet in position to deliver power at all times, ask Anthony Joshua about it) In terms of using the ring, Ali, Leonard & today Tyson Fury, Usyk, Lomachenko & Keith Thurman. Thurman & Roy Jones are both excellent examples of using their feet to create power & Fury under Sugar Hill is getting there too.

Nobody was or is better than Leonard on the BIG occasion. When the pressure is highest, when the prize is the biggest, when the challenge is toughest, nobody has delivered the goods as convincingly as Leonard.
Roy Jones is up there too, Hagler is too, but in Haglers case styles make fights, his style is universal & can beat all others but a singular great style can top him as in the case when he fought Leonard, who was just a wee bit too streetwise for him n a wee bit too fast for him.
Roy always shone bright on the big occasion too but he didn't get good n great Champions outa there like Leonard did. Roy let finishes happen, Ray made them happen.

Ali got smashed and bullied by many fighters like Frazier, Norton and got dropped many times. He is simply overrated. He was tough mentaly and a great character that I give you. It is hard to dislike him for the man that he was but a top 10 all time he was not. Maybe just maybe I can put him top 15.
