1:52 This one is my favorite. You got the mountains, land, and the skies all together. The colors on the mountains and the sky with the morning glow is amazing.
Thanks Jason! I appreciate it. That one was my favorite too, and thankfully I got there just in time. This was maybe 2 minutes adter parking, so I nearly missed it. Once the glow turned more yellow/orange, the mountains did not look nearly as interesting against the dark blue sky
Love quiet videos like these. You definitely captured what it's like to be out there all by yourself. Amazing color in the sky that morning and some real stunning images, especially the pine tree photos and then the one of the mountains and valley. Great work as always Brian!
Thanks Paul, appreciate it! I thought about doing my usual narration but it was so quiet that I really wanted to share how there was nothing but the sound of the wind through the grasses. Only a few stragglers willing to take on the cold and wind, so it was very quiet for sure! Hope all is well 👍
Thank you! The glow was really perfect and created some nice color on the mountains where there otherwise wasn’t any at this point in the year. Glad you liked it, and hope all is well in KY!
Dude, that morning light is spectacular! It seems to have stuck around for you too. This is why we get up early as photographers. The first and third images are my fav.
Thanks Brian! That kind of intense glow and reflected light is my favorite to work with during sunrise. I can only image how awesome it must be if you ever get conditions like this in AK!
A bit of coffee and several great images, well done! Wow, you've captured a couple of award winners in the second and third images. Especially the second one!!!! I always say that we're lucky if we manage to come away with one or two exceptional photos a year. Congrats, and thanks for sharing, Brian! Good to see you out and about!
Thanks Michael! I'm glad you enjoyed the images... almost missed all of that color! It came and went within the first 10 minutes I was there. Thankfully these were in January so I've still got 11 more months to beat them for the top 2 this year!
Always a pleasure to watch Brian, and the images you’ve captured are as always superb! I love my 5DSR and you always remind me to use it more! Primarily a wildlife photographer so I need to dabble in more landscape. Keep it up mate 👍😉
@@brianbeattyphotography You’ve certainly inspired me to get out with it. Keep doing your thing, one of my favourite landscapers! Always nice and chilled with great images! All the best Rich 👍
Thanks Craig! I agree that it was so quiet with nothing but the sound of the wind. I thought that there wasn't much I could add that would improve on what it was like to be there!
Thanks Charles! Completely agree - it was rough getting out up at 5am and looking out at a windy, cold nighttime view. But, those kinds of moments are rare and are definitely worth it!
You were so calm with that color going off while you were still getting your stuff out of your vehicle and set up! I'd be rushing around all giddy - LOL ;) Such beautiful scenery and imagery! Thanks for sharing.
Haha! Thanks Patricia. The best thing about this spot is that the best compositions are really just ~15 seconds from the parking lot, so I was pretty confident I'd get there in time. That said, I was surprised at how late I was. I thought for sure I'd be in the dark for 20 minutes or so. There was definitely no time wasted!
Bro you are way too calm for that amount of epic light. I would have been sh#@*&itting myself all morning. I kept waiting for you to take off one of your gloves to reveal a titanium Terminator endo-skeleton. Very nice pics.
Haha! It helps that it was 4:45am and I’m not a huge morning person. Definitely got quite the show! I pulled up as it was unfolding so thankfully I only had to hike about 100 feet haha
Epic light! I love when the sky is like that. I get "light blindness" and never know what to shoot when it's like that. Haha! What was that remote thingy attached to your camera? Looked like it came in handy.
Ha! Yeah when it's that colorful and short-lived, it's easy for me to be a bit distracted and try to get too much at once. Thankfully for this one I didn't have time to react since it was like that when I pulled in. And I'm planning on making a video specifically to address that question
Great shots, thanks again Brian! Recent follower here & really liked that you previously posted your exposure settings & shot setup for us beginners…no longer doing that ? Was a boulderite in the distant past…is the “CU” on the third finally obliterated? d
Thanks David! Glad you liked it. For this one I was just focused on sharing the experience more than anything, but I definitely plan to stick with the usual narrating and settings on most future videos. I didn’t see CU on it, so it must be gone!
Hey Matt - my opinion it’s the best value for money canon camera today. Results that approach medium format (at least comparable to the 50mpx models) and it feels just about bulletproof. If you check my other videos with it you’ll see a lot of the 24-70 2.8 ii, 16-35 f4, and 100-400 ii. I have others but those are the main 3

Always enjoy watching someone is still taking amazing photographs with 5DSR.
Thank you! Even though it’s a bit older, I do still love the 5dsr!
Loved this peaceful video😌 Thanks for sharing mother earths beauty in your videos and photos🌾🙏🏔️
Thank you Kelli! Glad you enjoyed it

Love the simplicity and quietness Brian ! Beautiful images as always and what an explosion of colour you witnessed 💥 Ice and Fire 🔥 All the best 👍🏻
Thanks Andrew! That’s what I should’ve called it 👍. Hope you’re doing well!
Stunning, beautiful morning. Thank you for sharing this experience Brian.
Thanks John! Glad you enjoyed it
Wow! The color of that sunrise is truly stunning. What a beautiful landscape too. Thanks for sharing. Greetings from Kentucky.

Thanks Mark! Yeah I had a feeling it was going to be a good morning based on the weather patterns and other sunrises all week. Glad it worked out
Just wonderful my friend. You captured that beautiful morning glow on the Flatirons so well.
Thanks Heath! Glad you liked them
Beautiful morning with fantastic conditions. Great peaceful video, nice work Brian!
Thanks Alex! Glad you enjoyed it
Really enjoyed this one. I really like the quiet photography videos. Talking isn't always necessary.
Thanks! Took some good inspiration from your recent work 👍
Incredible lighting. I definitely miss Colorado's mild weather. I liked the Flatirons shot but the wide three trees at 4:24 was gorgeous!
Thanks Brian! That kind of intense glow and reflected light is my favorite to work with during sunrise. I can only image how awesome it must be if you ever get conditions like this in AK!

As I watched you walking in, I was telling myself, “HURRY!” 😮 Take care, buddy!
@@ScottymanPhoto ha! I cut out the part in the beginning where I almost fell on the ice trying to rush around

Great video, no words required, the footage and those stunning images speak volumes.

What a peaceful and Beautiful Morning! You got some Amazing shots! Nice work!
Thank you! It was definitely breezy and calm
Great shots! That's definitely the kind of light you have to earn, whether with a long hike or a cold, early morning. Nice video!
Thanks Charles! Completely agree - it was rough getting out up at 5am and looking out at a windy, cold nighttime view. But, those kinds of moments are rare and are definitely worth it!
A stunning sky with lovely colors! Good choice to also go portrait orientation for the trees/clouds shot - I prefer this one. Cheers
Thanks Thomas! Glad you liked that one. Agreed, the horizontal view cut off a bit too much of those high clouds
Very nice quiet video and also beautiful images Brian. I could feel a little bit of the experience.
Thanks Angelo! Glad it translated through the video for you 👍
Beautiful images Brian, thank you very much for sharing.
Thanks Les! I’m glad you liked it
Beautiful and peaceful video, Brian. Really loved the photo at 4:21. Love seeing your videos pop up in my feed :D
Thanks Jared! Glad you liked this one.
Beautiful photos Brian. I really like the tranquil video.
Thanks Patrick! Glad you liked them 👍

Fantastic video. Those photos are bangers!
Thanks Travis! Appreciate it
oh man i wish i had a golden hour sunrise like that!
Haha! I wish they were as common here as this makes it seem. A lot of winter mornings are pretty grey or not many clouds.
thats all i get here lately, i hope it changes soon!@@brianbeattyphotography

stunning landscapes. I see 5ds in the video but do you still shoot with the gfx?
thanks! I go back and forth between both of them. Some days I just like taking out the 5DSR for a spin!
What’s your input on the 5dsr? I’ve been looking to get one. Also what lenses do you use with it?
