Cancer can be painful, ugly and scary at the same time teaching. Its true I have cancer. the News is far from fake, so I have this to say.
my beloved family and supporters. It is with a heart both heavy and hopeful that I write,
Today, to you as someone who has been touched by this devastating disease.
This is not a fabricated story, it is my reality. However, despite the heaviness in my heart, I choose to share this update with you, my beloved family and supporters, with a flicker of hope that burns within me.
Receiving the news of my diagnosis was a seismic shock that reverberated through my life and that of my family. It is natural to feel a sense of trepidation, vulnerability, and the unknown in the face of such news. Yet, I want to assure you all that I am resolute in my determination to confront this challenge with unwavering courage.
Alongside the unwavering support of my beloved husband and with you, my cherished family and supporters, I have made the firm decision to embark on a course of chemotherapy. This path, though undoubtedly demanding, offers a glimmer of hope in my battle against cancer. I am fully cognizant of the potential side effects and the toll it will take on my physical and emotional well-being, but I am resolved to endure it all with grace and fortitude.
The outpouring of love, prayers, and support that has enveloped me since the news of my illness became public has deeply touched my heart. Your messages of encouragement, the warmth of your words, and your unwavering faith in my recovery have become an immeasurable source of strength for me.
It is in the face of adversity that the human spirit truly shines. Throughout my life, I have advocated for the importance of well-being, both physical and mental. Now, more than ever, I am acutely aware of the profound significance of self-care, positive thinking, and the unwavering support of loved ones.
During the course of my treatment, I may not be able to be as active on social media or attend as many events as I would like. However, please know that your love and support sustain me. Your messages uplift my spirits, your thoughts bring me comfort, and your prayers provide me with solace.
I understand that many of you may be grappling with your own health challenges or have loved ones who are engaged in their own battles with illness. To all those who are struggling, I extend my heartfelt empathy and unwavering belief in the power of hope.
Everything remains unchanged. I am still the person I have always been, and you are still the same as well. The life we have cherished together remains untarnished, unaltered.
We should continue to address each other by the names we have always used, speaking in the familiar and easy manner that characterized our interactions. There is no need to adopt a different tone, nor should there be any forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Let us continue to laugh at the little jokes that have always brought us joy, to play, to smile, to think of me, and to pray for me. May my name be a constant presence in our conversations, spoken effortlessly and without any hint of shadow. Life retains the same meaning it has always held, and the unbroken continuity remains intact.
Nothing is irreparably damaged; nothing is irretrievably lost. In a fleeting moment, everything will be restored to its former state.
