    My Notes:
    Types of Consistency
    1. Cognitive Consistency
    1. Alignment of beliefs, values and attitudes
    2. Emotional Consistency
    1. Regulate Emotions. Don't get too hyped up. Dial up emotions intentionally
    3. Behavioural Consistency
    1. Similar behaviour across all contexts
    Pillars of Consistency
    1. Mental Resilience
    1. Find out what works best for you to grow this
    2. Self Honesty
    1. Critically evaluate your performance
    2. Why did you fail? Confront it
    3. Did I do enough?
    2. Routine and Rituals
    1. Gain a sense of control and predictability
    2. More control = More consistency
    3. Define your ideal training day and game day
    3. Goal Setting and Monitoring
    1. Set SMART Goals or any goal setting framework
    2. Have a system to monitor the goals
    1. How far along are we
    2. What's gotten us this far & needs repeating
    3. What slowed progress & needs changing
    4. Self Care and recovery
    1. Have a recovery routine that works for you

I love the point about having self-control because I believe that it links to all the pillars of consistency, you can't be consistent without having self control, you can't set and achieve goals without having self-control, self-control tells you when its time for self-care, it let's you accept when you have poor form which then allows you to grown and improve as an athlete and even as a person in your day to day life. Great video like always 👍( i am very consistent in commenting 🤣)

Always finding a way to improve no matter how good i play, and doing "check-ins" by doing skills I used in the games or training before to see whether I can STILL do it. But there also way more ways that has helped me massively, being consistent has to have multiple videos of Sam Martin-Peak Performance videos information aswell! ;)

i dont know if this is just a me thing, but when i look at the other team before matches, and they look fast and confident, it just kind of kills my confidence, i see that they may be good and i start questioning whether i am going to be good enough against them or for myself, letting my mind get carried away, i do a lot of training and have gotten a lot of confirmation from coaches that i am a good player, yet i dont really have that self belief in myself, how can i take control of myself? because letting my mind get away absolutely kills my belief in what i can do

    • @SamMartinPeakPerformance
      @SamMartinPeakPerformance  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

Focus on your own strengths and achievements, remind yourself of the positive feedback from coaches, and visualize successful moments in your training. Channeling that self-belief, even in challenging situations, can help you stay in control of your mindset and bring out the best in your abilities on the field.

@@SamMartinPeakPerformanceApplicability in combination with usefulness, i have to be honest i haven’t watched every one of your videos so that’s why i said imo hahaha. It’s just relatively simple to apply & benefit from. With some of your videos, it’s been only a few % you could gain from if you were to apply it (Of course amazing if you’re always looking for those few %). But in general, i believe that this is the video that benefited me the most up to now.
